THE STORY
Inspired by our typical Croatian bus from the mid to the late 1990s, the DAF-Hainje SB 201, which was in respective numbers donated to our public transport system. The paint job was intact and was based on Amsterdam plum & white livery. This time, I've made it in pseudo-Amsterdam livery and with Netherlands plates. Although it's based on DAF, I've scaled down the engine power by double and increased top speed also by double, for better handling
The fun fact this bus is powered by 7.0 L inliner-6, handles literally like a brick, so it's not for narrow roads. It was projected for wide Amsterdam / Rotterdam / Eindhoven etc. streets. But, because of its simple maintaining, it was also seen all around the world. Produced from 1978-1987. by FAD Hollandia-Heinje of Netherlands, the Layland's Continental franchise.
