Beta 1973 Cymos Planica 1.1

Most mysterious Yugoslav pickup ever

  1. acerimmer89
    1973-1983 Cymos Planica

    THE STORY:

Former SFR Yugoslavia wasn't only known for its Fiat-based classics (here, ingame called Barjak, after real-life Zastava company). In the SR Slovenia there were factories which had produced French models....Pinault (Renault, Novo Mesto) and Avanti (Citroen, Koper). Both makers had entered into market socialism closed-type economy as a result of collaboration with local factories, so for Citroen joint-venture project, the Cimos (here ingame: Cymos) was assigned by the Yugoslav state.
Planica (real-life Geri) was based on Dyana-6 model in terms of mechanics and design. Dyane itself was updated 2CV for suiting the 1960's buyers' tastes (but the engine was same boxer-push rod one) It was introduced as small, simple and durable pickup in 1973, but without the Avanti permission. It was never exported and was produced only for internal, Yugoslav market in ~2,500 units. As a result, Avanti didn't update the license for any models after 1973, so this little pickup was produced until 1983, along with all other local-made Avanti / Cymos models.
The real-life Geri also had closed-type "brother" called Dak, on the same basis and with identical performance, externally very similar to the Citroen Acadienne.
This car was inspired by Yugoslav/Slovenian built Citroen Dyane pickup, called Geri, also the most mysterious car ever built in this country. Enjoy : )

One of the best Automation mods not only of this year, but possibly of all time. The truck itself has a lot of detail and just looks really good.

      Thanks, buddy. : )
The trick is I invest a lot of effort into every model. I study tech stats, visual design (front, side & rear) and then interior (sometimes there I use some creativity for more decency).
I test every car in BeamNG couple of times before final release. Even I research colour palette(s) from real-life models. So that's why I release one model for couple of weeks. : )
Big thanks on this review, I'm glad you have fun with this car ; )
