BACKSTORY
In 1963, BC was strugling in Europe to make sales. There old cars from the 50's were not up to the standards civilians set. It was also at this time that John Ashley was looking to make his own car. He previously had helped Bruckell with their vendetta, but they had backed out last minute. John wanted to make his own car to take to Le Mans. And when he heard that BC was almost bankrupted, He bought them outright to make his own car. In 1964, John had a functioning prototype made with the C-427 Emerald V8 engine. In 1965, the Diamondback finally was released to great success. Mainly because it only coasted $2100 but had so much power for the time.
