1961-1965 Moldt Gemini V

Disclaimer: This car is pure fiction, it never existed in real life, in contrary to most other my designs here. The car actually borrows cues from existing Ford models from the 1960s, both European (Taunus P4/P5 and Cortina) and US ones (Falcon and Galaxy). Engine stats are very similar to Taunus V4 engine. But, because the game doesn't offer V4, I had to choose Boxer-4 counterpart.

The Story:

The Moldt Gemini is actually Moldt Taurus' more sophisticated brother. It was designed from the 1959-1961 as a mutual project from the Moldt Germany and Moldt UK, along with Moldt Motor Company supervision (Detroit, USA). Outside, it actually looks like an typical early 1960s US sedan, but there are important differences. First, it's smaller than US "boats" because European roads are narrower than American ones, and second and most important, it was powered by 1.7L Moldt V4 engine, only used in this and some other Euro-spec models until the late 1960s.
The car had good reputation for its handling, simplicity and very low fuel consumption for this kind of sedan. Also, its monocoque design was typical for Moldt European franchises, beginning with 1960 Taurus models.
The famous "Cologne V4" engine was also used in Swedish Trollhattan models until the early 1970s, as an result of mutual cooperation on Trollhattan 97 model, introduced in 1968.
In the 1965, the Gemini V got visual update. The small fins were removed, the chromed parts were stripped down and the rear side got more boxy, conventional look.
The production of the model was stopped in 1969. Model presented ingame was '64 model. Enjoy! : )
