Those are some good ideas, but I've already made a diesel covet in my i3 mod. I haven't been posting mods and stuff recently because both of my BeamNG capable laptops have broken. :(
My Main beamng laptop: my dell inspiron 15 7000. It has a lot of problems with overheating (it has a fan the size of a quarter), and freezing out of nowhere. last night, during a skype chat, my webcam quit working. I also quickly noticed that none of the ports on the computer and the bluetooth was working.
I rebooted, but it didn't fix it. Right now, I have the laptop in pieces while its SSD (the original HDD has already failed) is plugged into a spare desktop, transferring all my files. Note: this laptop is barely a year old; right after the warranty expires >:(
Next laptop: Toshiba satellite s75a. Came with a core i7. Major overheating and cpu throttling. Was useless for beamng at first, until I downloaded a neat program called ThrottleStop. That allowed me to run the pc at the clock speed I wanted too. But no matter how hot it got, the fan would still barely run.
I think after 3 years of overheating, it might've damaged the cpu some. Also, the casing around the left hinge area has busted, so the charger jack is literally falling out of the laptop! The screen has been replaced twice over the famous "Vertical lines of death".
Lastly, the battery is completely toast. It's the original one, and it maybe will give you 10 minutes on a charge. I have an old celeron 900 toshiba, and it's original battery will give about an hour.
If a laptop is breaking 1 year into it's life, thats not good. I mainly collect older laptops but I have a Lenovo Z50 for BeamNG. It isn't the best for it...
I was going to try a Hirochi Sunburst Electric C-NCAP crash test for you, but my screen recorder doesn't like BeamNG... I might check out another one though.
