Anyone running Haswell? (i5/7 4xxx)

Hey, is anybody running one of these? im just curious the FPS you're getting, as i'm contemplating a jump to blue team soon.

(yes, im awere this will vary wildly based on processor, im just looking for a generality of Haswell's beamng prowess.)

 

With a i7 4770k I get 60fps (vsync on) with over 8 vehicles. It's a good strong processor faster than any amd in the same price range, well worth the price.

 

I have a 4670k at 4.2GHz running 50-60fps on maxed settings. Slows down with more than 4 cars because lolnohyperthreading. Paired with a GTX 770.

 

^ 4670k here @ 4.4Ghz, paired with Z87 Extreme4.

FPS doesn't go below 60, the only time it dips below 60 is when I have 4+ vehicles, just tested with the D-15.
Although I am using the new performance updates so keep that in mind, but planning for the future is good.

 

what combination of map and vehicles? i'd like to see a screenshot verifying this - i feel like it *might* be exaggerated a little.

 

Its funny because i'm pretty sure Vsync doesn't allow it to drop below 60. And yeah,Id think 8 at 30 or 40, but not 60.

 

I've got an Ivy Bridge (The series before Haswell, performance is comparable) i5-3317u. I get 24 FPS with 1 car at the lowest settings with an Intel 4000 GPU.

Yes, running in a laptop.

 

actually, vsync keeps your fps from going past what your monitor is capable of (so if you have a 60HZ monitor, vsync won't let the fps go past 60)

it does not block fps dropages (it couldn't even if it wanted to, it's up to the hardware to keep it up to 60)

I can get 60FPS with 4 D-15s and a Covet with my 4670k at 4.6GHz

(in which you might actually have a chance of getting 60 fps)

actually, you were using moonhawks, you might get a much more playable fps with say, the d15, or grand marshal, or even the civetta, as the moonhawk has more jbeam done then any of the other vehicles

 

Just a Hyper 212 Evo, and it gets to about 70°C.

I had it at 5GHz but didn't like the voltages!
