Radiators are easy to do. Thermostats are a real pain, however. --- Post updated --- At that point buying an Omega 3000 is a better idea. Is it just me, or do Omegas/Carltons look like a Japanese car?
I don't have an engine hoist or the will to replace the radiator. I would need to remove a lot of things because 1999 Regals are transverse FWD, which isn't something I can do with my limited set of tools.
The radiator support wraps around the entire radiator except for the side that is closest to the engine. It is very difficult to remove as you would need to angle it towards the engine and then pull it up, which would be so much easier with a hoist.
I can't see it. The images are too low resolution. Mind highlighting the discrepancies for me, just out of curiosity?
Underside must be ok, it's rather the suspension/suspension mounting points that got damaged, that's why it's leaning to one side. Roof is screwed though. If the owner had the skills and equipment to do it, I'd have said give it a try. But with western european labor costs it's a waste of money to pay someone to do it, so yeah, it's gone. If it was in some poorer country like Russia, it would have certainly been saved.
alright i figured out what caused low airflow on volvo xc60 the airfilter..... i sat in the car for days at -10 degrees cause the fricking airfilter ,the $10 THING THAT CAUSED ME TO SIT in cold....
I respect you for owning up to your mistake and telling it how it is. A lot of people will bullshit the story when something like that happens because they don't want to look like an idiot. Shit happens, people make mistakes. Learn from it and move on. Maybe RORCAT can take some pointers. He seems to have a propensity for wrecking cars, but through some freak circumstance its never his fault.
I would've kept the challenger as well. The 2.3 Ecoboost makes a bit more HP than the 3.6 Pentastar and quite more torque, but... (call me old-fashioned) it's a 4-cylinder. The Pentastar sounds better and I bet it's smoother. As for looks, that is in the eye of the beholder. The mustang is a far better looking car all around, but it's the uniqueness of the challenger what bumps up the "cool" factor. On the bright side, the mustang is a much better car than the challenger in terms of quality.
Nah it really wasnt. I bought it from an old guy for 700€. It had the old 2.0l with 115hp and a 4-speed automatic which made for a guttless yet fuel guzzling combo. The body itself had bad rust on the rear fenders and at the rear doors so it was good for maybe 1 or 2 years at best before it rusted out completely. Suspension was all still original, so you can imagine how 27 year old shocks and springs handle. Also the transmission started to develop overdrive shudder, power windows were all dead, heater core was removed because it leaked so bad, wiring was faulty, power steering sometimes worked, A/C was broken and it sometimes cut out on the highway for a few seconds but then kept going again. It was fun to drive though, no worries about dents and just beating the crap out of the old four banger. It really wasn't that big of a loss. As long as I'm healthy and got away lucky the car really doesn't matter.
My precious Impala has not been liking the weird weather. Goes from full snow, to dry, to wet again. This made humidity form in the gas tank, which was worsened by a broken gas cap. Been getting a check engine light very frequently with the annoying "Water in fuel condition" code. There was also 18% alcohol in fuel for some reason. Took it to the dealership. Emptied the fuel tank, replaced the fuel, added some CF5, replaced the air filter (it was a bit clogged) and also replaced a speed sensor harness that caused my Stability Control and Traction control to go haywire (I literally couldn't drive with them ON). I still have to add more CF5 once I go through this tank. They gave me a brand-spanking new 2019 Equinox in the meantime. I feel they did it on purpose to entice me on getting a new car. Pretty little SUV... Too slow though. A 1.5L 4-banger in an SUV? No thanks... I missed my car so much. I got it back. It is running better than even!
