Turbo Sound Files

    I have read around and found the files for turbo_01 and turbo_03 along with the standard turbo_bov sound.. What I can not find is turbo_02, turbo_04, turbo_05, and any of the other turbo sounds, such as the ones that are used for the stage 3 turbo on the 200bx. Also, in the .jbeam files it shows "event:>Vehicle>Forced_Induction>Turbo_05>turbo_bov" and I can't seem to track down where that is linking to.

    Afaik, they generate sounds, those are synthetic things, if there are samples related to them, they might be under such license that it is not possible to share.

    Likely somewhere in game_engine.zip perhaps, but made so that you can't extract them and samples alone might not be so usable.

    I really just want to change the volume to make them louder so I can hear it in the car and behind the car more instead of just on the hood view.

    Yeah I got that part but the maximum volume of the turbo is kinda quiet. I have the volumeperPSI up at like 2.1 and I tried 100 and it maxed out at the same volume overall.

    Hey, as with just about all audio now, we're using the FMOD middleware to playback and control the audio, so there is no access to the samples themselves.

    The way the turbo events now work is that there are currently 5 car banks, using this structure and one for the semi and bus, which doesn't have a bov - that's bank 6. Bank 6 is still there, but has also been replicated to Turbo_bus_01 and Turbo_semi_01 because the max distances need to be different for those vehicle classes

    "event:>Vehicle>Forced_Induction>Turbo_0x>turbo_bov" where x is 1-6.
    There are also turbo_hiss and turbo_spin events.
    There are also slight variations on these for modded and race variants of the turbos but currently these just change the maximum distance of the event, so turbo_bov, turbo_bov_tuned and turbo_bov_race.

    At the moment, I haven't set up the additional volume for modding, but it's on the list to do, and then the volume range will go from 0-10 rather than 0-1, and every value above 1 will give you an extra dB of gain (volume)

    OK, the additional volume for turbos has been sorted from my side, so it'll be in the next major update.
