I have been looking for a new Phone for a while and a few have come up as a good deal. I need android based and would love something good but also on the cheaper side if you have any other suggestions. I currently have a Galaxy S7 and want more screen space as well as more features. If you have any other good ideas let me know.
It has 10 Gb of ram but an older Snapdragon 845, the 855 is the newest. meanwhile the note 8 has 6 gb ram and an 835 (older then the 845) it may be a better phone in terms of features.
To quote Vlad Savov on Twitter: Too much RAM is pretty pointless for phones at this moment, it only "helps" app developers make badly optimized apps that use too much excess RAM. * not every case counts, my phone got only 3 GBs of RAM, it still runs fine and I'm satisfied, since I'm only using my phone for phone things, YT vids, browsing and light games.
The Mclaren is a bit overkill in terms of ram but the look of it and the newer processor are the reasons i want it over the note 8, however it is more expensive and has a few things that drive me insane, sich as a notch, albeit a incredibly tiny one, but more importantly, no headphone jack, all of witch the note 8 has. The note 8 has the stylus though, which i have found useful for taking notes on my phone, but that's about it, so the question is looks and performance vs features and more money in my pocket.
