In real life demolition derbies, AWD is illegal. The creators of the cars and the scenario have tried to keep it as true to life as possible. Hence why you have a FWD pessima and a rwd pessima. Nobody said it was limited to FWD only, though I have seen a few compact classes with that ruling. I think that's dumb though because the chevy Lumina is the strongest compact car (That doesn't even technically meet wheelbase limitations [At this point I'm just ranting]) that I've ever seen compete.Except for maybe a modded up Gremlin.

Back to original point, long as it's not 4wd/AWD it's legal and true to life to the sport. Transfer cases must be removed on pickups as well for pickup classes.

I understand AWD is not allowed in demolition derby. but welded diff is allowed. However in #538 if you enlarge the first picture you'll notice the Powertrain Visualization this car has rear diff welded but the transmission connect the front, not the rear shaft.

So it's just using FWD, right? Then the car is still legal regardless of what the rear diff looks like so long as it's not using both front and rear.

Those are not our cars and configs, you're using some additional mod packs for this ?

The No mods didn't have this problem

Then don't you think you should be telling this problem to Peter on his derby mod pack's thread? Wouldn't that be the correct place to go?

I'm sorry. I once misunderstood, thinking that is the scenerio weld the incorrect diff. These problem occurs even in freeroam, indicating this is caused by Peter's mod pack, not the demolition mod

Guys! i have a significant workaround if anyone is still having trouble with their xbox controller! all you need to do is, when the derby starts, open and close the side menu. it doesnt matter how you do it, i prefer clicking the left stick but escape also works. you have to do it each time you start a new round, but it restores full control and takes about a second :3

Well good to know about that as well, but Bit also found the issue with the devs and they fixed it already, we'll test it out more and it will be fixed on next update.

Just a heads up, we've worked on this with @bidwars and found the issue that's causing it. Next game update should fix it. In the meantime, you can tap the 'escape' key twice when the issue happens, as a workaround to fix the controls (that will toggle the dashboard menu on then off again). Alternatively, you can also remove the Menu bindings that you also use for driving (such as shifting gear up, etc).

Edit: eh... ninja-ed by several days, it's what happens when you post without refreshing the browser tab first :D

So there was a conflict, that could be solved with refreshing the controls etc ?

It's just that the menu system didn't trigger the notification that the menu is gone already. This means the input system continued to believe the menu was on screen, therefore the menu controls were still usable so you could navigate menus. This means the 'A' button attempts to activate the current menu item, etc. Since there was no menu item to activate, nothing seemed to happen. The vehicle shifting didn't kick in because menu controls take precedence in that (believed) state.

Toggling the menu back on/off, ensures the 'off' notification gets triggered and the menu controls get disabled, allowing driving controls to work again.

Thanks guys for making the best mod in the game! Would love to see a bigger concrete arena where 8 or so opponents can really get some speed up

Something like the size of the dirt arena, but in a nice flat concrete :)

    Thanks again!

Well that sort of arena would make the rounds last approx. 30 seconds. Not ideal for tactical fun on smaller arenas with long rounds. :D

You should be able to go to any map in freeroam and create two waypoints with a road between them. One waypoint would be the upper left edge of the arena. The second waypoint would be the lower right edge of the arena. The road would be created between the two waypoints and set the driveability to 1. This can be created in F11 mode where you edit the map. Save the waypoints to the map and then drive to the area you created in freeroam. Startup the derby app and click "Start Scenario". This will startup a derby scenario in the arena. I will be creating some arena's on the other maps at some point but for now you can create your own.
