You know how when u break a car and it has minor damage but it hit directly on the tire and it fell of or something if you could just replace that single tire then the car would work you know the menu were u can see all the parts in the car by scrolling? you should add a button or something like " replace with new " or " select new" which would allow you to select from the normal parts to the racing spec parts of the racing truck to even changing the gearbox it would be so cool to have more control over what's inside the vehicle you are driving but if you can't do it plz explain why
That would be pretty nice. I personally would like a reset camber/alignment feature, to further the effect.
I actually think this is going to be in the full game! the point of the game is to... er...um... I don't know! but it has a career mode, so you must be able to replace part and keep the old damage, otherwise you would have to buy a new car every time!
When you load a part, the game load that part nodes coordinate, which are defined around the coordinate zero, where the car spawns. The problem of adding a part with your car not being anymore at his spawn or without making it respawn completely is that the game wouldn't know how to spawn that new part without resetting the whole thing. It's much more complicate than it seems :\
Hmm... I do understand its not easy, but when Invictus made their Street Legal game ,in 2001 I belive, they managed it (I do not understand programming so I have no clue about the differences but it looked like they used some sort of on car coordinates for parts or something)
Has this topic been revisited / any progress made? I would love to be able to repair individual components. - Say for example when you're off-roading and you like the authentic battlescars your vehicle's picked-up but then you burst a tyre or bend the steering and just want to be able to fix those parts. I'd also like a rewind function similar to the Forza Motorsport games. Having lots of options would make this game even better!
we kind of already have a rewind button, but it does reset the car as soon as you hit that button (i use xbox one pad, so its the left d-pad button i believe iirc)
