I was always going for that specific car (sleggjan) but as well as my knowledge whit blender I went further into details, every square has been triangulated jus to be clear on that. I am going to work my ass off to make this mod a reality (in-game reality), tnx for your support <3
Please keep the original name. The hillclimber looks great! Are you going to make it drive on water when it reaches a certain speed?
I’m not sure if BeamNG supports hydroplaning yet. Although I have never tried to hydroplane anything, based on experience I’m just not sure if it’s possible yet.
But this works because the car is light enough and the tires have scoops right, so wouldn't it work like that in BeamNG too?
Just because the tires have scoops doesn’t mean that it adds traction. Tire traction is based off of values, not shape. BeamNG is as close to real life as it can get, there are limitations to the game. Maybe the developers could work on water physics to allow the ability to hydroplane.
buoyancy is simulated in game, just not sure about tire traction, but if the car has big enough tires and it will float, might be possible.
It kinda does, when you're fast enough (like over 140 km/h) the cars can hydroplane (or swim) until it sinks.
that is interesting...like a Hill Climb Car and no not Hill Climb Racing Game..and Patrick mayonaise is still not an instrument so yeah nice work at this so far!
I think the mod: Custom Off-Road Tires has the tires that are on the car in the video. (Link: https://www.beamng.com/resources/custom-off-road-tires.3692/ ), the tires are called: 16" Sand Jumper Tires.
that looks freaking awesome and iv been look for a new offroader. if you need any beta tester, DM me --- Post updated --- yes it is supported but its not like how you would expect.
the shape of the tires do change the grip on different surfaces, if they're actually jbeamed properly. this was confirmed in some thread where somebody was experimenting with paddle tires in mud
