Maybe only file telling where terrain is was lost, sometimes .ter file ends up directly to documents\beamng.drive\levels instead of the actual map folder. I'm having bunch of them already: One would need to move it manually to map folder, then change paths from all files that mentions .ter file, there can be several files in several folders which names can differ, so better go trough all item json etc. files and check if that is the case.
Well........ There goes countless hours of work down the drain. RIP Black Gold Country 2018-2018 Never even got released.
Backups backups backups. This is what you do. Have you considered digging around in the"System restore" folder? I backup weekly so that in the even the entire house explodes or my computer tower burns down, the most I'll lose is a few days work. I have learned the hard way that you must backup constantly, especially if you do bulk changes or update a bunch of models. Multiple SSD RAID arrays and scripts that run at bootup copy stuff from drive to drive for extra redundancy, too. That being said it looked really nice why don't you give it another shot, you can do an even better job this time around. Sure it takes a long time just try not to delete it. The terrain file that got deleted was normally saved in documents\beamngdrive\levels\terrain.ter (or whatever the terrain was named). Feel free to use any of my road textures from any of my maps. That's a non-issue.
I would never forget the train picture SPAM i did in this thread When I arrived (mostly to give you advice for train builders and the looks of it).
He said ''On the eventual future''. He reffers that someday @BeamDrifter will recover his files from this mod and he will start again this project.
indeed, just because something is cancelled doesn't mean all hope of it restarting one day should be lost
