Kinda annoying thing that happens with age.

    2008 I had +1
    2017 +2.75
    Today, 2018 +4

So next year I get new glasses every week? Great.

Been fighting it for years. Had 20/10 vision in both eyes all throughout high school. Could see a mouse in snow a mile away.
    Most of college - 20/20
...And now, it's on a steady decline to the point that I am almost surely going to be 20/50 in a year or two. I hate it. It interferes with drawing, driving, gaming, and just about everything.
Ever drawn with tablet/computer? Imagine crisp, clear lines all appearing as if they have this grotesque anti-aliasing filter on them unless you've cranked the brightness up on the monitor and are sitting mere feet away.
    It's a vicious cycle.

I've exhausted nearly all my options when it comes to BS-ing eye exams and eventually my self-destructive antics will catch up with me. :/
I really don't want glasses, but Lasik sends chills down my spine just thinking about it.

You mean putting things in my eyes?

    ...
I may have some latent irrational fears.

I can understand. I probably wouldn't want to put those in my eyes either.

With these stronger glasses, drawing with a tablet is annoying from another reason too, you know what straight line should be, but even slightest turn of head makes things curved, there literally is no straight lines or possibility to see straight line when drawing, so it is about same to close eyes and rely on muscle memory.

Oh and I have wondered why they put that anti aliasing option in games, comes permanently installed, during mornings it is gaussian blur with maximum strength :D

This really is something that takes toll on mental capacity at times, I can say I do know how it is.

Maybe we could try sculpting and 3d scanning when technology is refined enough :-/

To lighten up a little, it took 3 nurses and 1 doctor to put eye drops to my eyes, no matter what I try, my eyes will close very easily, so that is not going to help with any kind of laser thing or contact lenses.

Ugh, that would drive me so far up the wall I'd be on the ceiling. Now granted, I seldom draw straight lines because they aren't really organic shapes like most of my stuff, but regardless.

Eh, you'll get used to it. I've had glasses in since 2nd grade. It went from -1, to -2, to -3, to -4. I was at -4 in 2015. At that point i had to take drastic measures. It slowed down but still decreasing. Im at -4.75 at the moment. Ugh its annoying but i look better with glasses anyway...

Same here, though atleast I can read something from a distance easily compared when I don't have them on.

Yikes! I'm at 4 on my glasses right now. Is there any way to make my vision better or am I just going to keep getting worse?

I'm pretty sure the carrots thing is a myth, you can't really avoid computers if you're learning to code, but I don't know about eye exercises. Some people say it works, others say it doesn't.

I am lucky enough to have perfect vision, but for my dad, he was legally blind without glasses. He could not see anything but a huge blur unless he had his glasses on. Same with my mom but not as bad

Yeah i have that too :p haven't got a clue what numbers i am, but not good ones i don't think, each time i get new glasses it's like far away objects got upgraded from ~480p to 2160p :p I remember when i had lost my glasses and so was using my old pair, and got my new ones (higher strength due to eye test) i looked at a sign for a new store and i literally stood outside about 2 minutes just staring at the sign, i was shocked.

Suggestion: Don't use AMOLED screen mobile phone, it flickers all over the place, which is detrimental to your eyes.
