Whoopsie daisies! Misread the sales receipts. Turns out the 291 wasn't the original engine - my Barstow RS actually came with the 423, plus a whole host of other rare options. Not even the paint was original. I suppose the kook I bought it from didn't know what he was talking about! Oh, and it came with an automatic transmission, but I haven't had a chance to hunt one of those down. That's just as well - a torque converter is the only thing that can possibly control the 423's sheer strength. I suspect the guy who sold it to me put the original engine and transmission in his other Barstow. He had a lot of old cars - apparently, anything newer than 1990 is full of tracking devices, and catalytic converter manufacturers are in on the New World Order.
there's a reason why i don't trust the AI with my nice cars cause now i have to pay 2 drivers more money than i need to to fix their rides
they say you can remove a vw beetle's engine in around 30 mins. Just managed to remove the Miramar's engine in a much shorter time.
