Is there any good way to shift the T-series with the H shifter? As of now the only way to shift past 6th gear is by using paddles, which make the shifts go 10 times slower.

But then id doesn't have the power to deal with the weight, I"ve tried making a weird lo/hi range transmissiin but it didn't quite work.

But I want to use a manual... I think we need to have a proper range shifter and that's all

well torque converters are quicker than clutches and smoother too
you won't be able to do dct like consective shifts in a row with a manual but you can with an tc auto

But I want to use the H shifter and use the clutch with every gear change

Logitech sells a shifter for their manual
    --- Post updated ---
The Green is used when hauling a load. It keeps the engine around peak torque.

what? I can you link me it? I've never seen a 12 + 2 reverse shifter for G27.
The g27 shifter I know of is the default 6speed shifter

This is only a shift knob... Let ke tell you how it works...
It has 1 button and 1 switch, both of them work just like any other button on the gamepad. What allows it to work with ets2 or ats is an in-game range-splitter simulation which you can use without the special shift knob, but to operate you're using normal buttons instead of the shift knob.
Without the range splitter gearbox mechanic the shift knob won't do anything... No matter what you do with your controller you won't be able to correctly shift the semi, as you can only bind 7 forward gears and one reverse gear.

It would he quite simple to implement but I guess devs didn't think about it.

Sorry to pull from such an old message, but did this feature ever reach the release? I can't remember ever seeing a mod that altered the texture of the mudflaps.

Hello dear developers. I am a fan of the BeamNG simulator, but there are a few things that will make the game more realistic. First, why neglected by truck? Just one truck among many cars, it's not fair.Second, the truck has no engine brake, but it is not really to simulate. The brakes overheat, the engine revs increase and the engine fails. Third, all trucks equipped with air suspension have frame / ground clearance height adjustment. Is it possible to implement this in the game and make an animated lifting axle on some types of chassis.Fourth, when will you make a realistic gearshift scheme with a divider and a demultiplier like in a ETS2/ATS?.Fifth, the point concerning all modes of transport,I ask in the options menu to enter the parameter regulating the weight and height of the driver, and the number and weight of passengers.Without these parameters, we ride an empty car. While this is important.Thank you for your understanding and your work on the project.

You might want to check that again as we simulate a fully detailed powertrain including engine brake. It is really easy to see that this happens not only with the truck but with any other vehicle too. Just go down an inclination with a (manually defined) low gear and you'll see the engine speeding up and also the engine "holding back" the vehicle.

He is probably talking about a Jake brake, which would add much more engine braking, and probably should be available for the T-series.

Yes its would be nice to have a jake brake and a realistic simulation of air pressure (like pumped brake repeatedly =drain the system prematurely)

I may be a bit unrealistic here, but what would happen if someone modeled a T65 based on a newer dakar class T4.2 truck?

Yesterday I tried to switch the joystick Logitech Attack3, using the program Xpadder, simulating a manual 6-position gearbox. But, as the joystick returns to the center position of the transmission is switched off(switched neutral). To clarify, I use a realistic switching mode without any help and with clutch release. And since only 6 gears can be switched with the lever (the developers ' problem), I tried to simulate switching without clutch release, and this is what happened. Under certain speed and driving speed, the transmission will stay on even though the lever was in the neutral position. But it was not always so, basically shift without the clutch in the lower gears cause "crackle" and the destruction of gears, and the transmission "popping". In this regard, I once again appeal to the developers to make it possible to switch the lower and upper range of the gearbox, as in the ATS.

Bump, does anyone know if the winch actually works on the new tow config?
