Re: [WIP] NEW ISLAND v1.0 My GPU, its melting! I guess a 560ti cannot handle this map. Certain areas are just fine with 60fps. But there are far too many stones in certain areas like in the hills which reduces my fps noticably, its not like me to ask for an fps version but dayum this thing is running at 1/2 the fps of other maps (at times). But i am very impressed by the Torque3D engine, i would have expected way worse FPS than i am getting. But it is a really cool map and i am enjoying playing it so well done, its awesome. I will likely just mess around with the LODs of the rocks and trees to help things if i need to. I heard you like rocks; so we put rocks, in the rock.
Re: NEW ISLAND v1.1 Holy... if i see that ammounf ot trees and rocks, i know i dont even have to try this map... will still do so ofc.^^ You can see trees on the screenshots allready that stand in each other... speaking about the tree crowns. Very unnecessary, specialy in the middle of a 50 meter sized field of trees, which nobody will even enter to have a look around. That is wasting performance at its best imo. Will report more or correct myself once i tested it .
Re: NEW ISLAND v1.1 To be honest its just a case of taking the erase brush in Torque 3d and setting it to a low pressure and going over the whole map with it. I would probably say 90% of the stones here don't add to the map in any positive way. But it is a very good example of how good Torque3d is and how good LJFhutch is at making 3d models that are fps friendly.
