Sunburst won't catch fire (even with hard crashes)

Hi, I was wondering what happened to the Hirochi Sunburst, because everytime I crash a sunburst, the engine does not catch fire for some reason. I tried the following, Slam into a building, Slam into T-Series, Slam into Bus, and crash into another vehicle. Is this a bug, or has it been updated. My game version is Alpha v0.13.0.5. It used to catch fire everytime I crash hard but if it still works for you, then it's a bug.

 

try hitting escape go to fun then go to catch fire

 

It's not supposed to catch fire. It only does it on a rare occasion for me.

 

Oh that's odd bc for me everytime I crash hard it catches fire back then

 

Updates improve the game. It's probably intentional, modern cars don't often catch on fire.

 

Aw man I like it when cars caught fire easily

 

If you want it to catch fire, find a way to rupture the fuel tank and then crash really hard. Even then it might not. Modern cars are actually designed to resist catching fire in accidents.

 

One way to rupture the fuel tank is to pull a node on it, gentle enough that it doesn't come off, but catches fire. That's what I've done in the past.
