It is okay, I found the lack of Cotris on the water tower quite annoying tho. I did add them myself, but that's like half an hour of clicking in BNE just to mow down some towers with a T-series.
It does say unfinished at title. I find notepad++ often faster than BNE as at least Notepad++ is not forgetting saving part of save command
BNE is faster if someone uses (I assume) a model to Jbeam converter to place all of the nodes in and forgets to rename them, as a logical solution would be to jbeam one leg and then copy it 4 times and just change the node names to something like node1a for one leg node1b for the other and so on.) Because of that copying the lines and using ctrl+h to change symbols in notepad would not work. I know that it is unfinished, but the work that's left to do is to be honest just triangles and some minor tweaks.
i waited longer than i expected for someone to point out that the tower has almost no coltris. (only on a small bit on one of the Foots) i started off the wrong way building the tower and didnt want to waste hours, if not days of adding coltris to something i was going to redo from scratch anyway. eventually. also the middle pipe, the whole middle part and the ladder are not to be taken seriously. the whole map isnt... i added the tower just because. as i said, all of this could be done 100x more elegant jbeam wise and much more visually appealing. im just some guy tinkering with stuff i rarely understand. i dont to this day know how beamspring and beamdamp exactly work just for example. i just trial and error through values until things work. imagine what people that actually understand j-beaming could do. ps: half an hour? for the whole thing?
you still did an okay job. It took me half an hour to cover the whole ladder and all legs in cotris, for the whole thing It would take like 1.5 hours or so. The middle part not being jbeamed could easily be fixed, as it would be a case of copying a part of one of the leg's whole Jbeam, moving the nodes to where the pipe is and renaming them, then a few beams to just about hold it together and it should be fine.
as the op says, improve as you wish. @Ai'Torror If you dont mind you could send me what you did or will do and ill update the map. credit given of course.
This version of the gas station has some of the parts made selectable such as: the car wreckage, the tower, and the sign on top of the tower. I also attached the top of the pillar next to the gas pump to the roof because it was not attached. I also made it a breakgroup.
some months ago, theres a map with destructible bridge, now theres a mod with destructuble tower and gas stasion, what would be the next? --- Post updated --- why is teh tower hard to break? the tower my Skoda
Really impressed that the windows and door can hold up and completely deflect the likes of a dump truck at a 35 degree or less angle better than a guardrail ever could. it's just so amazing how it simply takes the impact energy and makes it run up the window and roll the vehicle. if only windows worked like that IRL along highways and interstates. keep up the good work
Odd, got the problem as few other people wrote on here already but doesn't seem like anyone found the result for it? Doesn't show up in map selection, but the gasstation is in the vehicle selector. Installed it like any other mod, the zip went to the mods folder.
