I just transfered my first few cars over to beam and when i loaded them up, the game runs at maybe 6fps. Every beam made car runs at 60+

Any idea's? They are the only 2 mods since i cleaned out my mods folder for the update.

    Disable shadows.

Because of way Automation cars are made, they are quite hard to render, but I found out disabling shadows helps a LOT.

i did turn off shadows and it helped some but only gained maybe 4 more fps. Is my hardware just not up to the task?

That could be, but could you list your hardware so we can guess a bit better if it could be something else or hardware limitation?

I've got a AMD Ryzen 7, GTX960 2gb, 16gb of ram. I can run both games just fine on their own, its just the automation cars in Beam.

I can run one Automation car fine in Beam, but I have set normal quality preset, no shadows, 720p resolution and none of checkboxes checked.

I have 1050Ti 4Gb and I7, should not be very big difference in performance, but if your game uses more than 2Gb of vram, that could grind everything to halt.

You can see here how 3 AM cars is bringing my GPU on it's knees, but 3 vanilla cars is only 45% GPU load with same settings, it is big difference, but certainly you should have more than 10fps with single AM car.

I have a 1080ti and 6700k @ 4.8, and on gridmap I usually run around 180-200fps with everything maxed except shadows. Any car from Automation brings that fps down to 30. Seems a little crazy.

I put 19 AM cars on AM test track, there was still almost 10fps, almost :p

Automation cars be heavier GPU wise, especially if they have a lot of fixtures.
Automation recently released an update that should simplify some models on export, gaining a good performance boost.
If you made some cars, make sure you updated and export them again.
