Part of the reason you're not getting useful help is because this thread is in the wrong subforum. :( I sure wish that the mods would make some naming/labeling changes to make that aspect easier for users to understand. We get nearly as many posts about using mods as making them, and this is a subforum for help with making mods. @synsol

EDIT: Sorry, I should have mentioned but regular support is over here - https://www.beamng.com/forums/troubleshooting-bugs-questions-and-support.5/

Mod building support might be bit more clear instead of mod support.

What the other subforum actually says is not to report bugs unless you have mods disabled. Reporting bugs is different from asking for help. Support is still available over there for people using mods! For problems with an individual mod I recommend asking in that mod's discussion thread. For issues like this however ("none of my mods work") I'd say that the best place is definitely the support subforum.

The naming/labeling for the current structure is very confusing. It's no surprise and reasonably understandable that people just give up and pick one. This subforum, while poorly labeled, is explicitly intended to support people creating mods. In fact, there are a surprising number of modders still asking for creation help in the troubleshooting & support subforum as well, so the issue goes both ways!

With that sorted, time to be helpful.

Are the mods you downloaded really (1yr+) old? If so, they probably never will load.

What mods did you try to install?

Have you turned off your computer while the game was updating? If so, it might of corrupted a mod install file.

Did you save it under documents/beamng/mods?

Sorry to bombard you with questions, but knowledge is the hinge on the door to success :)

For users with many mods the easiest way to troubleshoot is to manually move the mod zips.
    • Verify that you are on the latest game version (the blog usually gives you an idea of what the current version should be)
    1. Create a folder away from your 'Documents\BeamNG.drive' folder, such as on your desktop. You may call the folder something like "disabled-mods" or whatever you like.
    2. Move all of your mods into that folder.
    3. Download a known working mod such as DoullPepper's Canyon of Speed and place it in your 'Documents\BeamNG.drive\mods' folder. New levels are easy because you can see if they appear right from the main menu.
    4. If that works correctly, we know that the issue is with one of your many mods.
    5. Assuming that the issue is known to be with your mods, place approximately half of your mods, in alphabetical order, in the mods folder.
    6. Load the game again, if mods have stopped working then you know that at least one bad mod is present in this group.
    7. If the game is still working correctly then move these mods back into your "disabled-mods" folder and move the other half into your mods folder.
    8. Once you establish a group of mods that makes the game not work correctly (or not load mods) then split that into sub-groups (I would split it in half again). You may wish to create one or more additional folders on your desktop to stay organized during this process.
    9. For any given group of mods which is known to cause the game to misbehave, split it in half and check one half at a time.
Using this technique you should be able to narrow down to a single mod quickly. With that said: if you have many mods and the problem started after an update to the game you may find that more than one mod is broken now. So be alert and make sure that you don't skip testing any groups of zips before you put them all back together again. Some people may also simplify the above process by testing in groups of 10 or 20. It doesn't matter how you do it, the point is to test in groups of some size that is greater than 1 and less than "all of your mods".

    No, that is not required.

Please post your beamng.log. It's found in Documents\BeamNG.drive\

It would probably be beneficial to others if you posted a more lengthy account of your problems and the solution(s) you found. For example:
    1. Which mods did you have installed when the problem started?
    2. What path were you placing your mod zips in?
    3. Did you delete them all?
    4. Which mods did you install from the in-game repository?
... and anything else you feel might be pertinent.
