    You only have to do this if you previously ran an older version of this map on THIS game version.
    Documents\BeamNG.drive\cache.0.12.0.3\levels\SouthernHighway <---- delete!
    The level will take longer to load the first time after you do this. You only have to do this ONCE per map update (meaning, when you download a newer version of Roane County Tennessee, do that before you load it up!).

    The game creates cached models on map load. If the models are different but the cache is still there from the old version (and it's using the same map directory and model names), the game won't update them, thinking they're already done the last time you ran the map. Let's just say it's a good thing I figured this out on my own!

    To all:
    The city map thread will be created in less than a week to 10 days. I have a few busy days ahead but after that, possibly can reveal some goodness.
    Oh... and yeah, toasted my back again today. Bad. Let's just say The Bob whipped out his electric chain saw and pruned some trees (they needed shaped). Well, I had to prune through a 6~7 inch thick branch, think it's a Dogwood tree, let's just say TREES ARE HEAVY. One should try to cut things up a bit more manageable like, versus trying to carry a 20 foot log. Ouch. I did get it done, though.
    Among other things like typical home maintenance and replacing a door sill, and cleaning up the garage and actually making use of some of the woodworking equipment, yeah, I've been busy. I am still alive, just have been fixing up the older end of the house. Don't own a home larger than you need - more importantly - larger than you can maintain, folks (yes, even if you own your home out-right)! Renters have it easy - to which I am sometimes envious. Milling about in the garage doing all sorts of garage-like things (it's a shop, and my Pessima lives in there) has it's merits, though, I almost forgot how fun it is.

    Hey @bob.blunderton could you maybe some how lower the sound of the water? when ever I drive past a river to me personally it sounds like a water fall.

    Okay, wanted to make sure people knew water was down there. I will turn those down some but keep the radius. This will be changed in the next update, which hopefully is by the end of summer.

    shaking car problem?
    Yes, it's known. BeamNG use 'floating point math' on FPU inside of CPU. Not exact math. FLOAT = Rounded numbers... Very fast, not 100% accurate, Floating point math is 99.9999% accurate. that 0.00001% you see is the shake. Does NOT do anything bad to physics of car. Only visible shaking.
    It is a side effect of using Floating Point Math, this lack of precision happens as a side effect when you get far (6~10km) from the 'map center' ... map center is somewhere south of Rockwood town.

    I hope this translates well into french.
    Just ignore the shaking car - it does not harm physics / car crashes , but I cannot fix the shake shake shake. Just pretend car is a FIAT & broken :)

    You are welcome buddy. I studied GTA San Andreas for years to see what made exploring it so fun...
    Currently working on something even better on another map (this map may get some road/bridge models from this project in the future).

    The subway station and a functional (if you put a train on it and make it go) subway - a first for BeamNG and with two working rails for trains that don't even exist yet! Oops...

    Keep any eye out for my up-and-coming city map getting it's own thread soon guys!

    It's even got A PEPPER BAR! No wait, it can't have that. No. Well everything else. Sorry Quizno's but I tried.

    Hi Please help I have put this map into documents/beamng drive/mods and cleared the cache but the map still does not show up in my game under free roam!!??

    Update your game to the most recent version (0.12.4 (I guess)). I saw in another thread that you run version 0'10. Where did you bought BeamNG.Drive? (If you've pirated it, consider buying it and so support the devs.)

    Yeah it's only like 16$ or something petty like that right now until July 4th. It's super-cheap right now, and there will be a cross-promotion for owners of Automation on the 13th of July. Don't pirate, you'll miss out on features and mods, and the developers are really cool & deserve the support (I've never found developers this nice, actually).
    I am actually thinking about buying some copies for friends who don't have this game yet, to support the developers.

    Rock on man, it's the right thing to do.
    No one's gonna stick up for EA or Ubisoft in here surely, but indie developers are just people like you, myself, and the rest of us. They're modders that took their game to the next level, and developers, especially these guys here at BeamNG deserve your money more than ever. This is the Garry's Mod of cars, and for that, I love it.
    It's not so much a game, but it's a physics sandbox where you can make your own game, if you try hard enough. Even in it's Alpha state it's all I do all day on this PC (besides blow up explode-on-death rats with cat launchers in Fallout 4, or spawn a *TON* of Boomrats in Rimworld, and make other animal go 'berserk' with the developer tools).
    BOOM *SQUEEE-ACK* What's with explode-on-death rats lately? Or cat launchers? It's not even one game anymore...
    Best part about this game, and why I love it so, is even when Steamy Pile can't connect (Steam), because my internet connectivity is about the worst thing this side of 1996, I can still play because there's no copy protection.
    That means years from now, provided we still have X86-64 CPU's like we do today, copy protection won't break your game from starting due to future Windows versions and updates. So it's a game you'll keep forever, pretty much, no one's going to take it from you due to servers shutting down years from now, or the net being down.
    You'll always have the most recent version, compatible with all the new mods (and mine, they're always for the current version unless it's been <1 month since the new version is out). If an update breaks my mods, they're usually updated in less than a month, usually quicker if it 'doesn't run'.

    So consider supporting indie developers, especially if you like their work, tell friends etc, it DOES make a difference with indie developers. They're people like me.

    It's been considered, there surely is plenty of space for one! There is a real-life one just off the southern edge of the map south of Rockwood but it hasn't been added yet. I may put one down there eventually. I will keep this in mind!

    Well I can't make any promises as I am working on models for my up-and-coming mega city map right now.
    Not quite nearly as big as Roane County but it's very spacious, and it will have all the things a player could ever want in it.

    The dashboard (speed meters and rev meter) always move really fast in this map, i don't have it on video yet but i will record it when i play the game again (if it doesn't say fatal vechile error...)

    Make sure your HUD mini-map is not enabled (it's a UI map). The on-dash GPS is fine though.
    Make a video if you've removed all other mods & the words above dont solve it.

    the train tracks makes the subways tilted and some of the tracks are not connected properly if you could get that fixed thanks
