He's slowly reworking an old updated Jeep xj mod based on the dseries chassis but it's very wip and private for now I provided him the mod but obviously he's working on his own stuff
I'm not worried about that, that's an off-road-only crawler that has a chassis - which the real XJ, and the Blackfoot, do not. In any case, it's based off the ancient old Russian XJ. hog0005 is in fact helping me getting the suspension sorted for the Blackfoot.
It isnt offroad only it is the jeep mod with d series frame and his 4 link suspension once fixed it could be completely stock if wanted and he is reworking it like i said to look and function better , and Yes an Xj has a full frame its not a unibody vehicle m not sure what you're trying to say...someone else already made it to use dseries parts and uploaded it here and i sent it to him because i noticed his mod worked with it somewhat but with engine issues , i wasn't hijacking the post i was just informing another member. , it has no initial customization originally.
Well, I did say in the first post that I know the russian one exists. I'm not bothered. Leave it at that. (If you can see this mods/admins, you can delete the last 4 posts concerning this if you wish, thank you)
XJs are 100% unibody. MJs (Comanche) are unibody too but they have kind of a frame where the bed bolds on.
Small update, Thanks to @Firepower and @hog0005 , we now have front suspension that steers! An exhaust and fuel tank, although unfinished, have been made and function. The next step is to create JBeam structures for the rear suspension, and install the engine and drivetrain! A beta may be released with no panels, just the drivetrain, for people to test out. (keep your hopes up, my 6-week summer holidays are 2 weeks away )
Neato! (Also, will the possible beta release be within this thread, or will you select the beta testers?)
I'll let people have some fun, it'll be released here for all on the forum to mess with, which I'm sure many people do.
And then people come to complain, and we say _______. Everyone that’s on here alot should know this one.
I'm not completely sure on that yet. I suppose we'll have to find out Edit - hog showed me how to set up the structure for the suspension, however he hasn't made his own altered version yet. The stuff on it right now is a structure that I made, with the help of Firepower for fixing up my steering and wheel mounting.
It's mostly interior work, some of which will be shared/altered meshes from the Hopper like some other parts. Lights need doing, as well as some other exterior bits, but the main body/drivetrain is either at a workable state or done.
