Agreed, I don't think it would be possible to make an entire 1:1 scale of mars that you can drive on. It would be too hard for my small brain and way to time consuming. But a small part of Mars will happen sometime soon, either by me or someone else. As I am not very skilled at map making, it may take a lot longer than usual to complete. Well, instead of just Mars, i guess i'll work on the entire solar system. Thanks for the advice. Will post here once i start working on it
Of course not whole of it, only small portion in 1:1 scale, like 2km by 2km. When pushed enough far, one could think such map as a platform for autonomous vehicle testing, maybe even NASA will get interested from other side of BeamNG then
Today I got more colors! Did you know that moon is stationary in BeamNG world? I was shocked, truly shocked, it must be that no one just haven't remembered there being a moon, certainly something would of done to it already otherwise
@workclock1© Because mars is mostly sand dunes and rocks, you can afford to have a very large map because not many props are needed. Tennessee Roane is 177 sq km, so I think a 100+ size would work quite well.
I got orange too, modeled blade according to documents of Viking blades, this attempts to be from late 8th to 10th century style: I suck at 3d modeling, but kinda like how that came out, need to figure out which file to call for steel texture and maybe some black too. Details are important I hear. Update: Why Mars has to be boring barren rock, why not have space stations, stuff you can use as a jump etc. Some day humans will go there and leave lot of junk behind, just like in moon, so it would not be so far unrealistic.
I have uploaded a beta version of the map onto the repo, and of course it’s waiting approval. It’s pretty big overall, with the width being close to 15 or 20 miles long. Theres no rocks as of the moment, but a 100x100 mile mars map is possible with just textures and a platform.
Phase "get it into game" is now in session! I have decided to rename the car, like it was a sunburst that a company like alpina got their hands on. Anyway, I'll leave you guys with this, an animated short I made of it for fun.
Nice, but I dont know if you saw my reply to your post back on page 877, but the design of the LEDs are too straight/square for the shape of the headlights, most notable in the rear.
I am using a F150 I found on WOM to add to the bronco I need to add the fascia, hood, bumpers, wheels and tires, I also need to re add the glass on the roof might also add the doors and fenders for a beater --- Post updated --- I have deleted everything I am not using, here's what you might see in an update hopefully this summer --- Post updated --- Here's a mock-up of a 1983 and up model
