Whats the max number of nodes and beams each CPU core can handle or does it depend on the CPU type

For example an Intel i5 8700k has better Single Core performance than an older i5 2400 so the 8700k can handle more nodes and beams per core?

Technically yes, higher IPC of newer cpus means they do more work per core. BeamNG's level of optimization/thread scheduling will ultimately decide whether it will happen or how much of a difference it will make. It will definitely make a difference for the singlethreaded aspects of the game like graphics.
