Nissan Patrol underwent an extensive facelift for 2005.

Nissan Note also gained a good facelift.

To this significantly more modern version.

Hopefully this has not been posted before :p Volvo 960 got a facelift in 1995, and in 1997 Volvo changed the name to S90 (Sedan) and V90 (wagon)

3-door version is maybe prettier before facelift... But 5-door looks better after it.

The VW-like frontend grafted on either is awful IMO. Lacks personality and doesn't go well with the original sharp lines.

First design suits really well on 3-door version, because it looks really sporty and it is still very fresh. But, on 5-door model it's a whole other story.
IMO facelift is even more recognisable.

As much crap as I'm gonna get for this, I love the Camry. The only reason I don't want one dearly is because they haven't got much personality. But the 2012-2017 (XV50) was the fastest midsize you could buy. It's still faster than the 2018. AND IT HAS A V6!!! THANK YOU! 3.5L NATURAL ASPIRATION HEAVEN! Wonderful, wonderful car.

And in 2015 it had a good facelift.

I'd say this Camry transition was better than the 2012 to 2015 Camry:

The 2015 Camry looks like you offended him, in an shocking way that the jaw dropped. The only thing is that I don't feel like it fits the car, as the Camry was never meant to be angry. Even the second car with it's rounded appearance based on the previous gen never looked as angry.

Don't forget the minor 2017 update with black headlights and other things, looks a lot better now.

Looks flat, both perspectively and literally. Also, I'm not a fan of the front.

The third generation Nissan Altima facelift (2003 vs 2005) was small, but well done. The pictures arent too clear, but in the rear facelift, the turn signal lamp (upper) is red instead of orange. That chrome trim on the trunk is also optional to a body coloured i believe.

The fifth gen Altima facelift (2013 vs 2016) was also, in my opinion, an improvement. The use of chrome is the main improvement, though I personally like the updated light styling.

Audi is really good for most designs, but it does it really good at these transitions.
