I won't do any sound update on the mod. I didn't managed to get good and accurate sounds with the new system, i prefer the way the older Sbeam system works, way easier and intuitive when you only want to manage with a few samples. I'm happy with the clunker, junkyard knocking V8 sounds, as well as the diesel, and the regular V8 are correct. I loved to use the V8 sounds of the game especially for street machines and dragster, but they can't work together with the old system. So i keep the old ones for the time being, unless i decide to dedicate one entire week to remake sounds.
okayy, well maybe i could find some1 that could make a sound pack for that. https://www.beamng.com/resources/cp100s-fmod-soundpack.2838/ this dude made some nice sound mod , maybe he could do something about it, gonna have to talk to him about this.
Alright i tried to remove all mods, and vehicle and play on a clean version of the game. Added the download zip -> codename_american_fullsize_series.zip into my mod folder in documents. So the mod is installed correct and there should be no conflicts, but the window bug still appear Any ideas what else could be the problem?
You don't speak about the main mod, oldsfullsize_codename.zip. It's containing some textures changes, so if you don't update it, it won't work. You have two files, the main mod in the repository, and the addon which is an attachment in the first message. The mod works when the two parts are there so this is an issue on your end, whatever it is. I appreciate the effort, but the mod has already sounds, working for all the cars, so i don't think it needs someone to do a sound pack for it. It took me several days to get those cars have their own sounds, so maybe you don't like them but this is still my work (and my friend's work) so thanks for respecting that. Other point is that i'm not currently in the availability to work again on this mod so integrating new sounds even done by someone else is not a realistic project yet.
Will it be updated for the most recent version with turn signal and light noises as well as a horn? (I wish BeamNG just kept the horn as Sound scape instead of changing it because I like having a horn. Alot of mods have had their horn broken...) Edit: WHY AM I ALWAYS BLIND?
Yep ,in the eighties wagons just had wood stickers, it's not the same as those very old cars with real wood parts.
Can you put a custom video file in for TV in the limo instead of it constantly flipping through channels?
Yeah sure, i can put a 600 mb movie so it will help a lot downloading the addon Seriously, replacing the video in the mod is quite easy, and i'm happy about refering to my favorite tv series when i was younger.
I noticed that the 88 (Delta + Regency) is the only GM H-platform car in this mod. There's also the LeSabre from Buick, and the Bonneville from Pontiac that shares that platform as well. (Just observing)
You need to unzip the addon, and place the folder in mydocuments/beamNG.drive/mods/unpacked/ Then in the 1980regency folder you'll find the file compilolds.webm. place a video with the same file format and same name and it will replace the existing one. Also, you need to remove the addon zip from the mod folder, as the unpacked version replaces the zipped version. Otherwise you'll have issue with the game saying mod is duplicated.
Addon can be unpacked with a built-in function in game (unpack), this way the existing archive is unzipped with the correct folder structure and then removed, preventing any issue with duplicates.
Ah yes, i forgot about that as i almost never used it, thanks for the correction. I have my mods always unpacked and i pack them manually only when i release.
