Sorry for the bump, but I did actually print the pickup. I printed it with a 1:64 scale I think. I printed it a while ago but never glued it together, so I'll send pictures once I have it all together.

i can't afford a 3d printer, i have a 2005 printer that scans my grade card so i can change it on paint.net then reprint it out, but that's about it.

What model and brand did you get, and are you thinking of using PLA or ABS? If the printer you ordered supports it, I would use ABS because it's a stronger compound and there are a more easy methods to smooth away print lines without sanding than PLA offers.

What if someone took one of those giant $7,000 12ftx12ft printers and printed a life size Beamng replica part by part?

Well, we have one at Boeing, but it is strictly for testing out new parts, not stuff I wanna make willy-nilly. I would have to justify it through a proposal letter stating estimated costs and whatnot and how it relates to my team's current project. Otherwise, I would have to pay out of pocket. I have thought of it, though.

I'm most likely going to buy a 3d printer before summer ends, also
That's cool, what workplace has a 3d printer, just curious.

    IT Company :p

Anyhow, print failed because I made it too small and because of that it was stuck to the nozzle after an hour.
    Will try again later

I know this thread is kinda very dead, but I'd like to show some cars I managed to convert and print. All 1/64 (Hot Wheels) scale. Pretty simple, no interiors or other details. I've made a E-SBR4, a custom Moonhalk, and a TTAZ Kerraz (mod by Atomix). I can convert any car you might want to print, and show how I convert them. It's pretty simple, just using the make solid function on Meshmixer and fitting the result to a filling and cutting gig I built in Tinkercad.
