Only minor things, nothing of importance that hinders you from making a map

why not find an editable map on internet that comes with a editing software, or you could open the maps in UNREAL ENGINE 4 -or- BLENDER, super easy to mod on these

Every map is edible. I always use gridmap, but an older version of it. You can use ECU because it has some very nice objects in it, BUT there are a lot of objects in it. Deleting them all can take some time.

Thank you for the help. I will try the GridMap first since it looks easier to work on.

Maybe use industrial, because that is a perfect map to begin with.

use grid map, open it in blender, remove all objects apart from PLATE {ground}.
then you can make mountains by pulling up the map from where ever you click and hold. add random objects from your beam.ng files and spawn a load into the map

    If using Unreal Engine 4,
well... - just search up the speed level designs on YouTube to see how detailed they can be,
    honestly they are so detailed...

Pressing f11 (ingame) is easier. You can do everything there :)

If you haven't tried to mod SKINS, then use Paint.Net attached below...
