The Okudai S88 was made by Okudai (owned by Ibishu) for racing from 1994-1999.
    The S88 has a rear-engined tuned 2.0L I4.

    To do:
    More configs
    Okudai skin (more info below)
    rims (maybe)
    tweaking random stuff

    info on skin:
i need someone to make a okudai racing skin it must have:
    3 color pallets
    high quality

make your skins and send them too me and i will choose one (you will be credited)

    Reviews

@RetroStevie (making a review like real life)
"I've always wanted a rear engined, rear wheel drive japanese sports car, and Okudai's latest offering has me covered. There are many different options in the range and all of them are absolutely fantastic. My personal favourites are the Sandwich Custom and the Kaioso.
On my road test of each model, I have found out that all of the cars are very fun to drive. They are fantastic around corners, very quick and drive great. There is a very nice engine sound from the exterior and interior. The car is fairly well equipped but also is fairly lightweight, making it really fun to drive. I've often found myself drifting it around on my test. There is also a police version which would be a fantastic car for the police to use, being fairly quick and pretty decent to drive.

    My pick: Sandwich Custom.

A perfect lightweight, fun to drive sports car that won't kill you when you drive it but is still very fun, and fairly quick.

    Total rating - 12/10"

I like the fact that it is rear engine, I think that makes it a lot more race car like, also a v6 is a great idea. Can't wait.

Okay, so I've seen this thing floating around a bit, and I think it's time I say my thoughts
The concept (a tuning house produced 200BX) is a great idea, and it has a lot of potential to be a stunning mod:)

Unfortunately, going off what is currently presented, I regret to say but this is a piss poor execution of what could otherwise be a great mod:(

Allow me to elaborate: yes the cars in BeamNG are fictional, and thus do not need to strictly follow design choices of cars in real life. However, this is a realistic simulation game, and the only/main reason this game does not feature real life cars is due to licensing costs and complications. BeamNG is NOT a fantasy game, the vehicles are such that they could have actually been sold alongside real cars.

Which brings me to my first complaint. WHY did you put the engine in the back? From a design standpoint it makes no sense. Doing so would require cutting up and fabricating the frame to suit the modifications, re-designing the suspension to suit a rear engined layout, sourcing a suitable trans-axle, and not to mention the finer details such as wiring, re-positioning parts in the way and other complications that would likely arise.
TL;DR It would be a metric fuckton of work to do a rear engined 200BX. And for what gain? none. It's only going to throw off the balance and make the car handle like shit.

Have you heard of anyone IRL putting the engine in the back of a 240SX? No, exactly, and for good reason.

    Consider this, the Nismo 270R:

The concept is the same as what you are trying to achieve, take a small sporty coupe and turn it into a monster:cool:
Fortunately, the engineers at Nismo realise putting the engine in the boot of a Silvia is a complete waste of time (also you lose your bootspace). Instead, they improved actual weakpoints of the Silvia (increased power output to 270PS, replaced soft comfy OEM suspension with a more competent sports setup, as well as numerous cosmetic enhancements)

My personal recommendation to you is to bin the idea of it being rear engined, and follow the formula of the 270R; up the power, upgrade the springs/shocks/swaybars to improve the handling, and of course model a dope looking mid 90s aero kit;)
I honestly believe that if you actually tried, you would be capable of pulling it off, even if you have to work on it for a year or even longer, you are far better off slowly learning as you go than churning out crap over and over and calling it a releasable mod.

I have no intention of being mean to you, this is not a personal attack, so please don't mistake that. I honestly want to see you make good content, I believe it's vital that you know the truth, that way you can learn and grow:)

Ultimately, it's you're life, you can choose to ignore my advise and call me a hater, I honestly con't care, but I hope you understand what I am trying to say and make the right choice.

    I bid you godspeed!

I understand your points but this can be a bit of fun. It’s not as if people don’t make stupid cars that make no sense in real life.

    Listen to bakasan.
Now to some other feedback: the okudai text on the front looks a bit off. It appears as if it's just added to the image with paint, it's visibly hard to tell if the text is actually a part of the car. I suggest you throw a little shade on it, or even add a tiny bit of reflectivity. Look at the official badges, I think the text would improve a lot!

That is true, but it's not quite that simple. Yes, there are pointless mods mate to cars IRL just for fun (MasterMilo82 is a perfect example), but this is not that, this is meant (in the creators words) to be used for racing, which is very competitive and not a place to make silly joke mods for fun (unless it's 24h of LeMons, which again this is not)
also putting in the engine in the back is not what I would call a "bit of fun", it's not going to make the car do anything it can't already do, other than spin out.

Putting a V8 with an FR layout into a Pessima or Covet on the other hand is "fun" as it makes the car able to drift (which is rather funny to see a Civic doing;))

Well, maybe instead of putting the engine in the back, how about a mid-engine, just like on the Pessima Procar?

That would be a cool idea, but he would have to modify the body mesh a lot.

Tough with an controller or tough with an wheel?
What i mean is that with an controller you can easily and quickly go from full lock from on side to the other, with an wheel you cannot. I've made configs that are ok to drive with an controller but are difficult to drive with an wheel.

Could you maybe make another version of this car (in some time) that has a mid-engine like the Pessima Procar? Would love to have them both... Or atleast a config for this one that has that engine :p

Looks nice, and the rear engine idea is certainly interesting. As Taza said, however, the lettering needs to be changed.
