Big question to everyone... I've been trying to finally get back to work on the dash for the car, and I found some good pictures I could use to semi-finish it, BUT there's a little problem to that... The pictures I found are for a pre-2006 model (called H1 Alpha), while the one I'm working is from 2006, which has new visual pieces, like the gauges, colors, bit of metal etc. The biggest difference is that the 2006 model has a big curve in the dash, that goes from the middle to the right, while the pre-2006 model is almost symmetrical on both sides. Would you want to see a 2006 dash, or a pre-2006 with the visual style of 2006? IMO, seeing the latter option would be better, since it would be a mix of old & new which I seem to quite like
Yeah, I totally agree. The second dash looks better. However, I would combine bits of both of them, since cars in Beamng are frequently not based solely off of one specific vehicle
Don't worry if it is a Russian model, if you put a little elbow grease into it, it can become something great.
Did you just look at the first page and then post? If you'd looked past that then you'd know that Slithy has remade the body mesh from scratch at least twice since then.
Are you aiming for ideal replica of the H1 or are you going to do some alterations? I'd suggest using bits of the hopper's interrior as well as some stuff from the H-series and GM. What engines is it going to have? ( my suggestion is a downsized T-series engine to make it fit BeamNG style better.). You could also fit taillights from the hopper. Great job so far.
Well, as I'm not THAT good with modeling yet, so it will have some alterations to it (best example is the modified dash). I kinda thought of using stuff from other vehicles, but then there would be a noticable quality difference. For the engines, it will have the same 5 variants that were in the real H1 & a special version of one of the engines I accidentally found online
