Does that mean that the wheels have self-collision?

I had one picture of the peterbilt 359 engine, the truck was at Finnish power truck show.

I personally wouldn't mind if the BeamNG team delayed the update and took a little bit of time off since they're humans too.

Unfortunately, because we live in the world of deadlines and impatient customers, we know that won't happen.

I'd say if they take a break it'd be after the update. I'm not saying because I'm impatient or anything, I just think that they want to get this update out pretty bad. And they'll deserve a break after it too.

Yes. I think that they need a break from working, AND the constant barrage of "PLZZZ RELESE DEH UPDET NAOW OMG PLEEEEEEEESEE!!!!!11ONE!1" messages and threads.

Also, I just want it now too lol. I will wait, because it sounds like it is getting very close.

I don't know. I wouldn't be surprised if it's another month or even two. They still have to code the whole leader board system thing. I want the update, but I'm fine with waiting.

    Gabe Fink...
If there was a God may he bless you.

If I had the money (I am a student and my parents are very anti-gaming) it would all be in your hands by now.
I will buy the game once I can. Soon.

I don't know if it's too late to write this but recently I observed a loaded semi-truck going at about 60 km/h which slammed on its brakes and slid about half its length while its two rear driving axles were locked. This was on a wet environment.

Just an observation-I know you have higher priority things in development

    Keep it up!

Also google image search for "peterbilt 359 engine" gives pretty good results.

Yes, believe it or not most of these things don't have ABS, but they are powerful brakes. it takes a certain amount of skill to not lock air brakes up imo, as you cant feel what the brakes are doing through the brake peddle. in a fluid brake set up you are pushing fluid into the brakes to open/close them, with air brakes your operating an air valve that lets air reach the brakes when open, they are quite touchy.

it also should be noted that a fully loaded truck WILL stop faster than an empty truck. its quite easy to lock the rear axles when empty, when you are loaded the extra weight nets you more traction, and in turn stops you from locking you truck and trailer tandems. ofcourse then your steers want to lock first...

There are still other factors to consider like the wear of the road, wear of the tire, heating of brake pads and thus decreasing their efficiency. I did a quick sum up and technically, if the brakes are up to par, the stopping distances /would/ be identical(cause the normal force is increased by the same amount the momentum is) but this is only if the other factors I stated before were all identical. This is all based on if the wheels don't lock up.

I can get all that from a pretty new Mack Pinnacle's. Ranging from 2008-2014. Dunno how much the drivetrain designs have changed, all I know is engine design has a lot.

I was just speeking from experience, in a bobtail truck the rearend is real "tail happy" it'll lock up when your braking/spin free when your accelerating if you don't keep it in check (especialy in rain). in a loaded rig, its almost impossible for the tires to break free under acceleration, and they are unlikely to skid when breaking, and if they do they generaly lock the steers before the tandems. also from my experience a loaded rig has a lower stoping distance than a bobtail. I belive this is because of the extra traction gained by the weight of the load, and the fact you have 4 more brakes on the trailer. but yes as you said other factors do come into play.

Most of what you said is true. A modern dump truck, (single unit) or truck and trailer have suspensions, brakes, and tires that are designed to have better traction while loaded and therefor have a shorter stopping distance while loaded as well as, obviously, better traction all around
