Crashday. A game from 2006 which was my favourite. I still play it to this day, since it got re-released in this year's August; Crashday Redline Edition. I LOVE IT, CHILDHOOD GAME <3

Well, it was not until adulthood when computers started to come homes.

However I remember this boulder dash:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boulder_Dash

There were many others too, but can't really remember their names, one was kind of platformer, there were Aphrodite and some other character, I think Aphrodite was kidnapped and player had to go trough levels to rescue her or something like that.

A lovely game called "hit your brother with a stick, hope he doesn't hit back with a rock". And then PC games showed up, and oh jeepers. I'm too busy working to play games all day. Crap! Employment is a drag.

I still find time to enjoy an occasional few minutes of Half Life.

    Ah, classic.

Gee... I didn't realize that everyone on this forum was so young... these are some pretty recent titles!

I had just two computer games growing up that weren't from the Reader Rabbit series... (shakes cane at young people). Both were Tonka-branded. I spent more time with Tonka Construction, but this one is a little more memorable at the moment.

There was the garage area itself (the sole reason I can identify oil filter wrench to this day), the fact that you could crush cars in the junkyard area, configure your own cars in the design shop, and then either crash test them or take them for a test drive.

Wait a minute. That sounds familiar. Different but familiar.

The more memorable part was that I had a buggy copy. Anything I painted in the paint shop came out a bizzare silver/ metallic purple/ metallic green combo, and everything on the test track was pitch black. I couldn't turn a lap around the place - every obstacle was also pitch black! My first introduction to video game bugs right there. At the time, it was chalked up to a scratched disk - but in hindsight, I wonder if the big white box I was running at the time wasn't using Windows 95 as its OS - that could have done it.

I wonder if the disk is still around somewhere ... and if I can find a windows 95 emulator.

Truth be told, my first dedicated game machine was a Nintendo DS. I think I got it around 2006 - and I still have never owned a console.
