First car

I am planning to buy my first car for next summer. What should it be? I would like to buy BWM but they are all rusty xD but my dad says volvos are good because they are cheap and they are not so corroded

What budget?
If around 800-2000€, I suggest either E110 Corolla or VW Golf IV. If you need bigger, T220 Avensis or Passat B5.

French car? Hell no.

Try finding one that doesn't have 10 cm rust holes.

 

Why do people still worry about rust?

Most manufacturers started galvanizing the bodywork of their cars in the late '80s...

 

Because some areas (Like the shithole I live in) use roadsalt which will make a 10 year car rusts like a small 70's car.

 

Well, then the manufacturer would make no difference.

It never has, even when cars used to rust badly, they all rusted the same.

 

For some reason 80's and 90's Opels are still much more prone to rust than other cars.

my budget is about 3000e plus my parents promised to give me 600 because i didnt get lightweight motorcycle license

datsun 100a is more like project/hobby car becuase they are so rare and not so good for driving long distances nowdays

 

I agree with @Ytrewq. Golf IV is a good first car.

 

Get an audi with i5 engine,you won't regret

 

could try and find a Datsun 100A or a Nissan Cherry and live the My Summer Car life. other than that, i am useless for european cars

Also, have you thought about a B5 Audi A4 quattro?

 

1.8 turbo,reliable,cheap,easy to tune,gets good fuel economy,has a manual transmission, what do you want more?

i bought Volvo s60 2008

 

How's that possible? I searched S60's on Autotrader the otherday and they were extremely expensive...
