They are commuter cars, they had no reason to look "angry" in the first place. I mean, Toyota... why does the 2017 Camry look like it is baring its teeth like an angry dog? It isn't an "angry" car - it is just a commuter sedan.

Exactly why I don't like most modern car designs. Why does a subcompact car have to look like it will rip me to shreds if I look at it wrong?

However, I will say that I'm becoming more and more interested in malaise-era cars, particularly the '82 Dodge Challenger (which is pretty much a rebadged Mitsubishi Galant Lambda). I like that Challenger more than the '70s or 2000s version.

1984 Dodge Rampage and 1985 Dodge Shelby Charger are among the list of dream cars I want. Same with the 80s AMC Eagle.

I agree on the angry cars. That Camry manages to look angry and boring at the same time.

Some of my favorite cars in terms of design are late-60s and early 70s Chevrolets and Mopars - especially the '68-onward Chevy II/Nova and '70-onward Barracuda. They look tough, but it's a no-nonsense tough, not an angry tough.

I have to admit, I do like the look of the Accord, Civic and the Camry.

Probably not an unpopular opinion but, car industries are ricing their cars like shit and they don't let us make them to fit in our own flavour which is the biggest thing that i hate about modern cars.

But turbo noise is best noise.

As for my unpopular opinion, I don't think Gm has made anything decent since the 80s besides the Corvette. And the only thing I like from them from the 80s is the squarebody trucks/suvs. Pretty much everything they make is either bland and boring or just plain ugly. Most of their vehicles nowadays look overly aggressive like the other cars that were mentioned. Also, any GM product that I ever ride in or drive always feels chintzy and cheap, and that's compared to the 2000s Chrysler vehicle that I drive.

    Yeah, it's quite ugly.

The previous Camrys were actually quite good-looking,,because they didn't pretend to be anything more than a family sedan.

Unpopular opinion: I don't like turbo noise. Either the whistling sound or the BOV sound is not pleasant. Also, all things aside, current GM & VW's lineup is good looking.

XV40 Camry is the best looking Camry.

I just don't understand the appeal of stance culture. Some stanced cars look nice when parked, but that's about it. Do people actually enjoy driving cars with no ground clearance, no suspension travel, and no grip? Not to mention the spine-shattering ride you get from a car that bounces more than exaggerated anime boobs.

Maybe it's the fact that they wanna make risks with the car unintentionally. Also, camber doesn't need to exist, unless maybe for some racing or drifting.

Agree. Old cars look good or at least OK because they were styled just to do their job. Modern styling is the automotive equivalent of this:
