This happens at random times, at any time during gameplay regardless of whether it has been open five minutes or five hours. The screen goes black and doesn't come back. It only happens with Drive. There isn't any indication of when it will happen, it just flashes a lined screen for a microsecond, then goes black. The only way to recover is to crash restart. It runs very smoothly until it does this. I am running Windows 8.1 Pro.

Have you updated your drivers? Is it an overclocked card? What is the GPU?

I have searched AMD's page, and they don't have any drivers listed for windows 8 at all from my GPU. The card is not overclocked, it is an HD Radeon 7790. I'll try reinstalling the drivers

Should be same for 8.1, only thing that has changed driver wise is the list of accepted security certificates, AMD's I highly doubt have expired considering their importance and even if they have you can disable signature checking to install drivers with expired or no certificate.

Unfortuantely, the problem has only persisted and in fact is getting worse. At this point the only thing I can come up with is that my power supply is at fault. It is a Corsair 430M, so it doesn't have the minimum 500 Watt.
