Hey I'm pretty mad right now, West Coast USA is a really cool looking map so I want to play it. I started the game just today and opened it so I spawned in, and I take forever to load in at first, and then when I start driving (not sure the exact FPS, btw) I lagged like crazy. I deleted all of my mods and nothing changed. I have no mods on now, so that isnt the problem. Can I get some help here? I also tried re-installing BeamNG. Of course, nothing improved. Right now I just want to get some ideas.

They're aware of lag issues on WCUSA.

In adittion, to quote Nadeox, "We actually found some info related to [the lag] a few hours ago.The issue is, yet to be 100% confirmed, by decals."

Well, the next fix will probably be when they update the game next. ;)
But sure, I can PM you if you'd prefer that.

The newest hotfix 11.02 actually improved my fps on WCUSA, when it was first released I could barely play with one car much less two. Today I was able to play with a moonhawk with a driver while pulling a trailer and head on with a sunburst and a t-series with playable fps. The newest hotfix has something about fixing microstutter so that could be what helped me but whatever they did they need to do more.

This is what I get, forest road is slowest for me, do note that this is with video recording on, which tends to lower FPS by around 5fps at least on CPU intensive maps, I'm not sure if this map is really that bad, considering amount of buildings:

    My settings:

    Hardware:
    I7-6700
    1050Ti OC 4GB
    16GB 2666Mhz DDR4
    Samsung SM951 SSD

@Nadeox1 Last 20 seconds of video, there is a guardrail that is like glue/magnet, I tested it after that hit on video by slowly driving close to guardrail and car got stuck real hard, not sure if that is something worth to investigate.

My friend, some day you will learn, if you keep reading and be open to different possibilities than what possibilities are in your own mind.

GPU has been least limiting in my use, always more of CPU running out of juice. When you understand as much of BeamNG's graphical performance and limits what I do, then we can discuss about this further, but right now your claims are rather uneducated and you would need to learn quite bit more to really understand what you are discussing about.

There is good link in my sig to learn something about graphics performance.

wow, your fps is really good. My computer is literally 6 years old and isnt a gaming computer like at all but I might try the settings some time. Thanks

Pit graphics to very low. That's how I play west coast usa. Every other map I use normal graphics

If you overclock your 1050ti it would help but your cpu isn't all that much to brag about. If you want to upgrade your cpu but not have to worry about bottle necking get something with more cores that just suck mores compared to intel, I have the same gpu Evga 1050ti 4gb oc and I am buying a new fx 9350....more cores at 5ghz but they just suck more in games so it won't be too hard for my gpu to keep up, of course I will overclock the 1050ti anyway.

Overclocking 1050Ti is bit, well, not so great, sure it overclocks fine, but probelm with modern GPU's is that change to FPS is just tiny, if I don't remember wrong, it was around 4fps that I could gain by overclocking, so it is not much compared to old days when overclocking gave easily more than 10% boost in performance.

Some used Geforce 970 for example would be perfectly fine way to boost performance if needed.

1050Ti is fine for 720p, 1080p and it starts to get bit harder to keep fps at 60 constantly, have to go really low on details at some maps, but as I use almost solely 720p that is not bothering me. Anyone wanting to play 1080p though, would need something beefier to run the game with good graphics settings.

I did run BeamNG with i3 and without GPU at all, just iGPU, it works, but lowest of low details are needed.

BeamNG graphics settings can have bit odd relationship to performance, that is why I created this thread to get truth mapped out, for example for me shadows on many maps are causing performance cap because of CPU single core performance is not enough, that is what limits my gaming experience most, but overclocking CPU did not give many FPS more, there is no CPU that would be enough fast at the moment to run shadows well on some maps, it is complicated issue that involves number of objects, way shadows are computed, some part is shaders etc. It is engine limitation really. For normal maps, my setup works just fine, I can keep steady 60fps even at west coast usa map.

Some might wonder why I'm happy with 720p, my most used key in BeamNG is Ctrl-R and I keep Notepad++ next to BeamNG window all times. Even when at full screen, my old eyes do so good anti-aliasing that 1080p and 720p I really don't see much difference when stuff is moving. Good thing when getting old is that you don't need so expensive hardware ;-)

If I don't remember wrong, those AMD FX CPU's were quite bad in BeamNG, they had cores, but each core did quite a little in BeamNG, however I think new versions of BeamNG improved that a bit, Ryzen R5 might be better option?
