I liked the need for speeds up to HP 2010. But, my fav is deffinitly 1998 Hot Pursuit III. My first, and favorite. I developed a patch for the game so that it can run on Windows 7/8.

The first LFS I had is NFS Underground 2. It's also the last :p So I guess it's my favourite ;)

my favourite was always NFS2 SE, it had a great balance of cars, tracks, unlockable features and easter eggs.

After NFS3 things started to become a little more mainstream with games being made in the popular vein of the time. So underground and carbon fell into The Fast and Furious style along with many other car games of the time. They were good and got really popular but many people don't even realise the NFS series had existed before then, which amuses me when arguments on youtube harp on about "going back to their routes and making another NFS underground" when their origins go back beyond Undergrounds modification era and were exotic cars that drive with the character of that specific car and use the real cars sounds. Which is exactly what NFS is doing now, so they have gone back to their origins!

Its a bit out of date now but I still have NFS2 SE on the laptop im posting this message on and when im waiting for something to load I often have a couple of races or load BeamNG of course ;)

    1. High Stakes
    2. Hot Pursuit 2
    3. Underground 2

    The worst:
    1. NFS MW 2012 (Buy DLC to unlock 3/4 of the cars you find in the city and to get all the customization, MP not working. What a great BS)
    2. NFS Undercover (It was ok, the graphics are weird)

NFS Pro Street was really the last NFS game I really enjoyed. I haven't really played much of the newer ones.

    1. NFS III: Hot Pursuit
    2. NFS Underground 2
    3. NFS Hot Pursuit 2
    4. NFS Shift 2 Unleashed

Gotta go with the old school games before anything else, still have every NFS game up to Criterion's Most Wanted.

    3. Underground 2

They have yet to come out with a game that comes close to any of these.

Havent seen this one mentioned...NFS Porsche Unleashed 2005. That was a cool game, chronicled the Porsche series and had tons of customization and updating old cars, like putting a newer more powerful Porsche 356 motor in an original 356, all the different versions of the cars, and at the time graphics were pretty good, In Car View with working gauges, and an Autobahn track. I have that game currently intalled on my computer running Windows 7 Pro. Plenty of mods available to make graphics better etc. It was just a very in depth game, damage was great (like 15% steering would make your steering wheel wobble etc.) I love that game.

The original Hot Pursuit 2 and the original Most Wanted were by far my favorites. I remember playing those on my dad's old PC when I was in elementary school lol

The Underground games were great, but even back then, I never riced out my cars with wings and goofy bumpers, always kept my cars clean and ONE uniform color. It would make me LOL when all the computer cars were super riced out Eclipses and Neons (remember they only had a regular Neon and not the SRT? I thought that was epic, one of my most used cars in that game lol)

The Underground games were the last good ones, MW was kinda cool but the physics were horrible, what got me was the odd animation of the car kinda vibrating when you go around a corner..
