Actually, I don't know why you can't do it yet, but you should be able to. Using the Flying Bolide mod by DrowsySam. You can use the Dual Engine Bolide. It should split, but it hasn't been implemented yet. I don't think it will any time soon.

It's difficult to replicate a crash in beamNG that could tear a car in 2, but it's possible.

Have you ever seen a real car torn in 2? He's correct, it is incredibly difficult to replicate it in BeamNG.

As gabester said before, it involves splitting a beam in two, which is essentially like splitting atoms. It is doable, but very dangerous and extremely hard to do. It is possible, but it will open up an entire world of troubles.

Well i emailed them about cutting and they said they did try to do it but the nodes were glitching and you would miss a piece of car when you tried to cut it.

Yes, you can. And proof for the non-believer who thinks he knows best:
    6xI6Q.jpg 6xIlh.jpg

First picture shows A-pillars are completely 100% broken through, with B-pillars partially in-tact. Second picture shows A and B pillars broken, but C-pillar is still partially in tact(so the roof still won't let go completely). This is all using nothing but mesh-tearing. Only the windscreen mesh(which I haven't finished the structure for yet) doesn't tear properly yet because the car is far from finished. I might need to make the pillars weaker in general, but I'm not sure how a real car responds to this type of crash(I think on tv shows like Top Gear the pillars are usually cut partially to weaken them).

In other words: It is possible, just noone has set up any car to make it happen right. The game has the features for it available, but noone has used them for this exact purpose yet because it's extremely hard to set up in a realistic way.

And no, I will not ever try to set this up again. It works, but only just, and the result isn't as good compared to how much effort it takes. I'm keeping it in on this car for release though.

EDIT@Below: Yes, I was working on a bus(which is practically finished), but I still haven't gotten permission from the author yet. I also need to wait until the Race Update gets released, as it's using certain features from that(I'm not allowed to mention what features, they're pretty minor anyway)... It'll get released eventually, I'm sure :)

Oh boy. It's happening again. Myth is busting the myths and he is busting our minds with his creations :p That car is looking great! (Even in its current state in the pictures)

Also, weren't you working on a bus? I thought I remembered that you posted something about it in a screenshot (maybe).
