That plus size grand Marshall needs some type of luxury side vents on them long fenders.http://bringatrailer.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/07/1959_Aston_Martin_DB4GT_Coupe_Side.jpg

And I over exaggerated those numbers. More like 305/340 seems right for a mass produced performance v10 of its era.

Project X is coming along nicely. Getting the main part of the frame together. Once the frame is together every juicy detail I can add to the frame I will. Since this is relatively a small object that wont require a ton of polys to make. I'm gonna try to detail it really well. Try for as much accuracy as possible. Wish I had blueprints for it though. Was not able to find any anywhere.

Hardest part right now is accuracy. Building it based off pictures and trying to acheive atleast 95% accuracy. Once I have everything accurate I begin finishing up the frame and moving on the the next parts. Considering I will be modeling all the mounting pieces and such accuracy is key to this succeeding.

It is, working on trying to get the frame to match the real thing. Modeling off a real four wheeler.

Quadbike frames do seem to vary significantly so I think you are some space to let your imagination run wild.

Trying my hardest to match a certain design. It's looking almost accurate now.

no, but it would probably be a good idea to do so, as then you dont have to look into blender, to find out the name of a certain part of the mesh

I'll quit blowing up this thread when I finish the main frame. I'll start a thread for it then.

    projectx4.png

Coming along nicely, proud of myself for getting this far without a blueprint lol.. The Challenge is still on for someone to guess the name of the 4wheeler. With more distinctive features its a lot easier now.

Just finished up a bunch of mounting locations. Thats all i'm doing today.

Its not a banshee I did consider making a banshee but I went with one of my favorite of all time four wheelers. Thought this game could use fourwheelers :)

In my opinion the tire is way to shiny, Normally if there is any reflected light from the tire it is shown as being more spread out and less spot lit.

Semi relevant examples, credit goes to original authors of images.

Please put proper bias-ply tires on that... or the other something-ply tires, I can't remember what they're called and which are normal for that era. Don't think they have the profile you currently have in real life anyway. And make the tires less shiny indeed. Other than that, it looks great :)

Been working on this for a loooong time now. Stripped interior lightweight version ftw. Just a few extra trim pieces and seats and a retexture and it'll be a normal interior one. And yes, those are all reference pictures used as blueprints because that's litterally all there is for this car...
    6vMVg.jpg

You should be able to figure out by now what car it is, there's a pretty massive hint in there... Well, not really a hint... More like, giant neon letters saying what it is :p

EDIT @Clark below: I will model the gas lid yeah, works better for me. The one in the pic is temporary though, just as reference for where it goes.

I wish I could model that well. Maybe one day I can.. So you modeled the gas lid? You going to have a good sized texture for the car or just going to let lighting take its effect on it?

    Sorry for the late reply,

This map is a slow project for me to learn how to work with Torque and BeamNG, right now I am trying to work with creating mesh roads, because I just cant get the roads smooth enough.

If the map come out good I will most definitely release it, but it wont be soon.
I want to create my own textures, objects and sounds.

    Thank you for the interest!
