Solved Nose down over jumps

    I am working on my new offroad vehicle and noticed at the west coast offroad track that it keep going nose down over most jumps. Any way to make it not do that suspension tune up wise or something?

    With a rear wing however it doesn't do that much but I want to know how to fix it on the non-winged setup.

    It's most likely very front-heavy. Adding a counterweight might do the trick.

    I was doing some life stuff so I didnt do anything til yesterday, sorry for late reply.
    I don't think it was bottoming out, I checked by disabling collisions on all nodes except for the wheels. I made the engine twice the weight and it didn't solve it either, engine is in the rear by the way. I cant make the suspension stiffer because it will not handle jumps properly and even if I do it doesn't solve it anyway.

    Not that short. I don't think buggies are supposed to be super long.

    How Light is the buggy? Unless you already do this, if you keep accelerating with the light buggy, you should be able to atleast lessen the roll while jumping.

    Who knows though, it could be something with the driving style.

    This probably has nothing to do with it, but it won't hurt. Assuming you are not bottoming out on takeoff, if you increase your damping ratio on extension only for the front suspension that will keep the front wheels from slamming downwards on takeoff and help keep the front end up... You can also do the opposite to the rear suspension to help the situation. Decreasing your damping ration on extension that is. This will make the rear wheels slam down on takeoff giving the rear end a small kick downward shortly after takeoff.

    You would actually want to do the same for compression in the front and rear as well. Stiffer damping under compression for the front will keep the front end higher and reduce its downward momentum on takeoff making the front want to follow a more similar trajectory to the front wheels while lowering the rear damping under compression will, in turn, make the rear end more prone to a downward momentum at takeoff.

    You don't want to get too adjustment happy though, because setting up a vehicle for nothing but jumps can make for some terrible handling, so it's up to you to find the happy medium.

    I've struggled to keep it from going nose down for days then I tried the outlaw buggy which has got the similar suspension type and has gotten a same issue then I am like "screw it I'll change suspension type" and I did (just the rear). Not sure what this kind of suspension is called but I used the hondune buggy as reference (not exactly though), and it is finally fixed. Thats all I had to do just change the suspension.... Ehh, if it works it works. :p The performance is very similar to my TrophyT now. Now I got to make a redesign to the vortex then fix the issue on my sandstorm.

    Looks like a version of rear trailing arm suspension... glad you got it fixed though.
