On what lap, at what speed? As a general average, of course. Are you redlining constantly? Pretty much any vehicle will overheat if you are, and while the top speed of the FR17 may be one speed, it's sustainable max average is another thing entirely. Thermal management is a real factor in this type of racing, and I doubt many (existing) radiators could keep their engines cool at constant red-line or anything near it, especially when we are talking about one as powerful as the FR17's. Try putting the "Trip Computer" app somewhere on screen and flipping it over to average speed and exploring what it is capable of. Even incorporating long or short cooling periods, you can maintain a ridiculously high average speeds at or near that of the top speed. It is all about technique and knowing when to use the throttle and when not to. Nadeox1's minimal engine thermals debug app is something I keep on my screen for this purpose, as it allows a much more detailed output of engine temperature without compromising screen space. This is my current set up - I sacrifice knowing the amount of fuel I have, but figure I will know when the engine stops operating or by slowing down to zoom in and check the fuel gauge: Although it may seem frustrating to deal with at first, thermal management itself can become a fun element to add to the immersive experience of the game, and you will find that it results in the development of innovative and unique driving styles when compared to simply "red-lining until it busts."
Thanks for the info, yeah I guess I was going max speed, redlining. In terms of the trip computer, the engine thermals debug, and your set up. I love it. Thanks, and I'll take your advice.
Could I ask if it's possible to get the wheels and tyres as a standalone mod ? So we can put the wheels on pretty much any car, If so could we get a set of 4 wheels in both sizes (fronts and rears are different sizes)
Why should there be a FR18? The rule changes are so small that they can be an update for the FR17. And if he plans an older car, he could rename it after the year of that car..
no like we dont want same chassie for each car see diffrence between meredes sidepod and ferrai and halo plus new cam angles for ex on the side of front wing and new tyres update
Sidepod: Add other Car Body`s Halo: Will be added to FR17 New camera angles: Can be added Tyres: Will be added to FR17 Despite the fact, the FR17 is based on 2017 F1 Regulations. It isn`t an accurate replica of the F1 2017 season. FR18: Completely Useless.
