Hello im having problem whit my g920. It makes really loud ratteling noises when i try to drift and neead to fend of so i dont crash. It only makes really loude ratteling noises on Beamng. I can play for exampel Dirt Rally whit out any problem or loud ratteling noises. I have also tried to set the config as good as i can but even at the lowest setting it makes loud noises. I cant play when it is like this becaus i thinkt that i will damage the wheel and it destroys the experiens of the game.

How many FPS are you getting? Force feedback works best above 100 fps, I have the g920 as well and I get the same issue since I usually get 50-60 fps, I just turn ffb off and set the centering spring to 2% in the logitech software. Works well, and feels good

I have the same Problem! But for a strange reason it works without problems on the ETK 800 series. It seems to be more "damped". It sure has something to do with the Force Feedback trying to simulate counter-steer. I'll be trying to set the centering spring to 2%, that might help it.

Mine does this too. I think it's mostly a hardware problem that is just part of the G920 from the factory. For me, it seems to happen when you're turning the wheel faster and in the same direction as the motors. BeamNG's force feedback makes it worse for whatever reason, but it happens in other games too. I think what it is is that BeamNG lets the wheel spin more freely, which it doesn't like. Other games typically apply constant resistance which seems to smooth it out, but I'm just guessing based on experience.

The ETK 800 is the only vehicle in the game so far to have power steering implemented. It helps a lot for me too.

I think what you are talking about is the gear grinding gear powered wheels have. Its normal.

I thought that's what it felt like. Didn't realise it actually had gears inside.

Yeah. Thrustmaster is belt-driven while all the logitechs are gear driven that I know of. Thats why I ditched the g27 for a TX :D

I completely disabled force feedback and just set the centering spring to 2% in the logitech software to make it have a little resistance, like I said before, that's all. If you're still hearing ratteling noises then you didn't turn force feedback off in the game.

What framerate are you getting in BeamNG.drive? (you can use ctrl+f to display it on the top-left corner).

I've had this problem with my g27, and the fix was easy: Just turn up the slow input smoothing and fast input smoothing to max. in the FFB settings.

Unless you have a super-PC, drifting in this game can be quite difficult as the FFB is always behind schedule, even with 100+ fps, which often causes the wheel to defy the laws of physics :p

That kind of framerate significantly impacts force feedback.

Please try in the "Grid, Small, Pure" map, try to achieve at least 60fps (preferably over 100FPS with vsync off), and the situation should improve.

The more FPS you get, the better. If your current bottleneck is the graphics card, then upgrading it is a good idea.
