I am working on crashing characteristics. Since BeamNG mesh breakages are pretty messy, I am considering just making the body out of a thin metal instead of fiberglass. That way I can avoid the nastiness that is mesh breakage, the distortion associated with turning it off, and focus purely on deformation detail. I will try fiberglass first, though no guarantees on this. Even the best example of a Fiberglass vehicle body I know of, made by @FLyInG 2 YoUr SoUL , is still a bit on the messy side. Thanks I have alot of free time for hobbies and whatnot nowadays, and I like to spend a bit of that time making vehicle mods and terrains for BeamNG. Anyway... I added in side exhaust pipes; It was a relatively painless addition I must say, Just a few hours of off and on JBeam work and a few minutes modeling the parts. They're exhaust pipes; They do the job The headers are straight pipes into the other side of the exhaust pipe, with the front-most being the start of the visible pipe itself. Then you have a long muffler, and then the exhaust exits right in front of the rear wheels. This will look cool with Afterfire if I end up creating a racing spec config
Give me a shout if you want a realistic engine done towards the end of development, although I won't do one until the mod is almost ready to be released, having to fix something for a game update does get rather tiring, as you know very well yourself
Not sure if you heard but there is a thing called not constantly posting ridiculous names especially when the OP has chosen the name. To Driv3r1142, this mod looks awesome and can’t wait to drive it when it is released. Good luck with the development of this mod!
By realistic engine you mean HP and Torque curves? That'd be nice to have someone who knows the ins and outs of BeamNG's engine simulation to do the curve tuning on an engine Sure when I am ready I will contact you. 1; He's a well known s**tposter around here. Just ignore him. If he gets out of control the moderators will do something about it. 2; Thanks Right now I am doing some deformation tuning. I found a crash test video of an angled frontal impact and I am using this to aid in the tweaking of the deformation; I don't have any pics yet to show, however I should have some pics later tonight. I am also going in and adding Collision Triangles to the appropriate places on the body, and I will be working on tuning the drag coefficient on each set I lay out. Before this I was relying on the nodes to hold everything in place.
I think it should be called Soliad Vendetta, because Soliad=GM, right? --- Post updated --- However, the idea's cool.
@Driv3r Just my opinion and thoughts if they matter any, you should just say to hell with all the extra body mods and skins everyone wants and just build what you wanna build. It'll put less stress on you and let you focus on what matters to you. I genuinely feel this is if not the best maybe one of the best advice anyone can give and you follow if you choose to do so
I don't see what can make you disagree to it, I mean as far as I know he's done all work on his own. No one has the right to demand/ask/expect anything more then what he wants to release
Okay, I feel like I need to clarify something. I knew what I said was a gamble. What I meant by that is that it seems to me that ignoring suggestions by invested users seems like something that they can easily take out of context and potentially make them upset. I wouldn't just up and ignore the suggestions, I'd establish a sort of short - long term goal system, putting said suggestions toward the long term, and focus on the core requirements of the short term. In simple English, do main stuff first, slowly add in new content suggested by others as you go along. I see people giving you suggestions as a good thing. I agree to not let it stress you out, but shutting them out completely sounds like a recipe for a horde of angry users.
I understand what your coming from here which is a good point but in the end its his mod and he is making it for the community on his own spare time. Atm he seems to be working on getting a solid version of the mod done with minimal modifications and in the future adding more.
