So I've bought the full game and I am enjoying it a lot, these are the questions I have. 1. Do you have any vehicle suggestions? I've heard that most people master a specific vehicle before they use other vehicles, I don't notice a lot of difference between each car but maybe that's just me. Should I master any vehicles? And if yes, which vehicle would be a nice one to master? I'm mostly good at controlling a vehicle. 2. How does the prop system work? So when I spawn (as) prop(s) they just get placed next to different props automatically. I can't move the props as I'm controlling them which makes sense, but how do I move them? 3. Are there any specific map/gaming/mod things I need to know? With this I mean basically everything you feel like sharing with me, if you want to and have the time of course. Are there any Easter eggs and/or secrets? 4. Are there any mods you feel I should know about? As soon as I started playing it I wanted mods. I've found a lot of nice ones but there's about 250 pages in-game to explore. Are there any mods that I should definitely have? I've already got the endless tunnel map and a grand canyon map (with a really weird graphic look).
1. Personal opinion. Find one that you like the most! 2. Shift + C enters freeroam. After spawning in the prop, click j to pause, then go into freeroam and then click f7 to spawn where your camera is. Go out of freeroam by pressing Shift + c again and then unpause. (You can do this with cars also.) (There is a another way by pressing f11 to open up the world editor, (then pause the game with j.) selecting the prop, moving it where you want, then pressing f11 to exit again.) Don't forget to do CTRL + R for a spawn point. (the insert key works too.) 3. That there are tons of customization things with the vehicle editor. Its under the car symbol when you go to change your car. Also playing around with the ai. I would reccomened looking up a tutorial on how to use ai in beamng drive. 4. if anything get maps, and get a vehicle configuration pack. one of the best, even though some cars may not work because it is outdated. https://www.beamng.com/resources/djplopper-mega-pack-mod.451/ Also look at the ratings tab or the most downloaded! Sorry if you don't understand what I was saying.
For normal driving, the ETKs, D-Series, Hopper, '53 Special, and LeGran are all capable and easy to handle For drifting I definitely recommend the I-Series with drift tires and drift steering Stay away from high HP muscle cars if you want to drive sensibly The Bolide use to be a terror for even experienced drivers, but nowadays it's not bad and a lot of fun. I use very few mods because I feel most ruin the games atmosphere. NinetyNine has some great stuff that fits in well, including the Miramar Z. VR city is a good map but less special with the release of WCUSA. SSRB is my favorite "endless" road map. There is a drift UI app that I love, it's one of the more recent releases.
The car really depends on what kind of driving you wanna do, and the car you find you're the most comfortable with. (And ofcourse, the one you like the most!) For example, I see alot of people recommend the... Whatever is based of the 180sx. Most people recommend that to practise or learn drifting. So you'd think that'd be the best car to pick for that type of driving. But for me, that's the only car that I can't really manage to drift. I know how drifting works, and can do it pretty well too in other cars. Me and that car just don't mix. I recommend you just keep a look out on the mods page. The game just updated, so alot of the cars are out of date, but there are some really really good ones out there that'll probably get updated. You'll know them when you see them
Thanks for all the replies, discovered a lot of things I never knew about! Very cool to know the game even has AIs!
