Update Speculation thread

No, no we don't need more spam in this thread than we already do.

 

Don't worry, it would be impossible to have everyone in the thread participate. Some forum newbie will mess up the string with "Why are you saying 500?" or "When will update happen?"

It's not worth the effort to coordinate an entire forum for something as useless as spamming an entire page of "500," even though that would be awesome.

 

Where's your source on that statement?

 

I hope so- I'm getting my new computer ( one that can actually play the game and not crash if more than three cars are spawned or if I got on any maps but Gridmap, SI USA, Ghost's Parkade or Matrix Freeway and be about as laggy as a 1960's TV) on the 30th.

I am really torn with this one. I think it is almost definitely going to be tomorrow or this Friday. They could break the pattern of updates on Fridays, or break the pattern of updates the day before major holidays. I don't think releasing something big ON black Friday would be nearly as beneficial as releasing it on the Wednesday before though.

 

I like the idea somewhere above of them posting it toward the end of the BF sale. That way they'd make more money, and build better shit (In a perfect world, at least. Oh well, we can trust the devs.). It doesn't matter to us who got the game already, and more money for Beam is never a bad thing.

Yeah i don't think the Gavril Bluebuck is coming this update, there might be some drivetrain improvements (Diamondback doing his thing, i suppose more transmission modes and the line lock feature is cool) but the Bluebuck is most likely delayed as Gabs said he was having real life issues (such a s RSI - Repetitive Strain Injury), oh well we have the hopper
West coast USA is going to be cool, maybe a GPU inferno but this could be allieviated by some graphics tweaks to improve performance.
Expect the usual 5-10% physics core uplift that the devs always do

 

Agreed, i did not expect the Bluebuck to come out on thanksgiving, or with the West Coast. Maybe it will be a Christmas update? (Like a gift, but i think not.)

It isn't the end of November yet either. Another week to go. Wednesday-Friday next week it'll release.

 

You'd think after some time people would realize this means nothing :|

 

they said late November, not end of November. I think it will drop this Friday.

 

Friday next week is no longer November, and releasing a big update after Black Friday excitement would probably result in a lot of missed revenue.

 

This literally means nothing whatsoever.

Why, 21-24 days ago, there were quite a few QA updates being put up. By your logic, the update should have released a couple weeks ago...

...but it hasn't. So, you can just ignore anything related to the QA branch. Why, we once had several QA updates in a day between August 1st and August 4th, and people thought it would release on the 4th. It didn't, because the QA branch is meaningless.

True. After all, this Black Friday sale would be a perfect time to earn more revenue from people, especially with all of the new content and features that we may (or are certain to) be getting in 0.11. Black Friday seems to be a logical time to update, considering that the devs could possibly make a funny post related to Thanksgiving and reveal the next vehicle...

 

Sorry to rain on your parade, but we have NO hope for the bluebuck anytime soon.
