Starting to look rather chaotic, tying in the cage jbeam to the frame currently.

Dude this thing looks awesome! Great work!! Do you think it'd be possible to maybe get a version with an actual metal d series body on it for a "street legal" version, or nah?

There will most likely be the ability to have a plain coloured skin with no decals, so sort of.

OT: cab is basically done for now, gotta do some research on where to put the rear nodes in regards to the suspension

Well he can do that himself, it won't fit. Too many things he'd need to chop out to make room for the tubes.

How much bigger is this than a regular D-Series?

you can have a blank paint scheme but it wont be anything like the original d series other than a few stickers, and will be in no way street legal.

    the
the only thing that the original d series and this version have in common is the outer layer of the body panels, everything else, is made from scratch

To anyone who feels they can make themselves useful to the completion of this mod. We need some very in depth figures on the weights of different components on the car. We already know that the total weight of the cars sits at about 1550 kg ( 3400 lbs).but we need to know the weight of all the individual parts. Like the bare chassis, The seat, The suspension components, the individual body panels ect...

If you have any useful information or can get in contact with people people who do please make yourselves known.
Of course those who can offer some useful numbers and things will be credited for it

To be honest i think it would be cool to have decals that makes it look like the original D series, If you haven't tried.

Also this reminds me of an older 2000's NASCAR Truck series truck, where it is almost very identical to the original thing.

I can't find anything on the weight, found the cost of the chassis though, busy as of now otherwise I would've searched harder
