If this is old news the please delete post find me and shoot me. I have done some Minor searching but not come up with my result that i was looking for. what i suggest is a place a bit like the repository but once a mod has been uploaded then it has to be completed. dont get me wrong i love playing with WIP mods and such but what is annoying is when your playing with a mod that is completed then you notice a few weeks later that it has been updated again. so i supposed what i suggest is that once its uploaded i suppose it could have a sub catageroy for versions or it could then be linked to the game via a file put into the mod so that when it checks for its updates on start up it could check for the mods then spot which mod has been updated then download the update its self? i am rambling i do apologise i have had no sleep due to not sleeping.
+1 I think this would be a really good thing! I was thinking about posting something like this. It's hard to slog through all the WIP posts (and all the mods in general). I think it would be great to be able rate the mods and then sort by download count, category, rating etc. to be able to see the cream of crop mods. I think this is really going to be needed as the mod count grows (and it's growing pretty fast these days).
Cheers Gabester, would it be possible as i said to make a file that goes with the mod so that the launcher knows to check for an update? i know i have seen it on a game before but i cant for the life of me remember which one?
I had suggested something like this previously, I still think Overgrowth's SUM launcher is pretty cool. Community-content-browser-installer-(a-la-Overgrowth)
