How do I get the semi turbo skin/mesh to show up on the pickup truck? I have the turbo adapted over to an engine for the pickup but nothing showed up.
you have to also copy the semi's materials.cs and .dae file. i found this thread helpful: https://www.beamng.com/threads/tutorial-porting-engines-and-other-parts-inbetween-vehicles.28730/
when i put the semi.dae and the materials.cs from the semi folder into my mod folder with the engine it says "Failed to create resource (is the file missing?): game:vehicles xxx/xxx/xxx/semi.dae" after I okay that pop up the pickup, whatever varient, my engine or not, is orange. What am I missing??
Well, you need the jBeam file that tells the mesh where to go, and it's a little more complicated than just copying files. It took me awhile to make engines as fast as I can today (about 4 hours for all the research, torque curve, recreation in Automation, smoothing, increase to 8000, implement, test, etc).
Thanks for the story. I think what I will do is use the pickup.dae in my mod and, copy paste the turbo from semi.dae into pickup.dae. But I need something from the semi_engine.jbeam in my engine.jbeam but don't know what. Do I need the flexbody? Do I need the nodes, (erxx)?
