I'm so excited and I'm also getting the logitech g29 for my birthday at the end of November.. It's all turning out pefrectly!
I just rewatched the preview video again & noticed one thing that may be obvious: Drifting 200BX up the mountain Does that mean, the "drifting physics" got updated/changed? Because so far I've been unable to hold any drift with any car & the 200BX in the video was quite smooth doing it (or maybe I'm just incompetent to drift)
What is the size of the map ? --- Post updated --- On the video 0:22s "Tasicola 12 pack $10,49" xD 0:33 "Turbo burger" xDDD
My god. A demo derby. My birthday A classic car show. And this!! All in November. Stupid thing to ask. But do the lights change from red yellow green. ?
2km x 2km, as stated in the very first post of the WCUSA development thread. Yes, I'm also excited for Turboburger (Bonus points if it's referred to as "Tubboburger" by one of the characters during a cutscene!) I feel quite confident in stating that the traffic lights will be fully functional. They're a major feature in B25Mitch's Riverside Expressway mod, and it would be rather unusual for them not to appear in Belasco. In fact, I think I see a light changing from 0:13-0:14 in the teaser video, and its only the fact that it happened so quick, and close to the scene change that I'm not going to outright claim it as a feature.
Will there be a wooden roller coaster that you can drive in like in GTA? And sewers that you can crash through at 400 MPH with a dump truck?
Do you use a wheel? The hard part about drifting in game is the lack of feedback, I hear drifting with a wheel makes it much easier than with a game pad. This isn't the first time we've seen cars get the back end out on an official video, the SBR4 in the procedurally generated tracks video was able to nicely. Drifting around those tracks in a high power car is fun and good practice. --- Post updated --- I'm going to go with no. But you can crash the dump truck into the storm drain. You can see an outdated map on the dev thread for WCUSA, some people have posted an updated version on the update speculation thread.
Uhh... there's a mostly dry storm sewer canal ... and a parking structure with curved ramps. I wouldn't hold out hope for a drivable wooden roller coaster though. They're usually too narrow to fit a car on, and the distance between the sleepers would probably negate drivability otherwise.
The man who originally brought working traffic lights to Beamng via the Australian city map, is the one who's working on this now. So surely, they DO work, I can attest to that.
I hope the highways are REALLY long so that we can pull some wangan battles. What's the password for the halloween mod by the way?
